The title is an inside joke in the Bas fandom right now and it's from this video if you haven't seen it yet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLLktRjOTtY
I had to resist the undeniable urge to speed as I drove to the airport to pick up my blue eyed boy. Once I had stopped freaking out and started forming coherent sentences again, Dan proceeded to give me all the information I needed to find him. I was currently thankful for how late it was because it meant that LAX wouldn't be completely insane. I was getting so excited about seeing him. Hell I hadn't even bothered to change out of my pajamas before I literally jumped in my car. I couldn't wait to be in his arms again and feel his stubble against my cheek. I was eager to kiss him again and run my hands through his much too perfect hair. And then he would get all cute and shy and ahhhhhh I just wanted to be with him already!! I could feel my heartbeat starting to pick up as I followed the exit for arrivals. I pulled up to the curb, parked, and texted Dan to let him know I was waiting outside. My fingers nervously tapped the steering wheel as minutes that really felt like hours passed. One glimpse of him stepping out of the sliding doors and I was flying out of the car.
Dan had barely even registered that I was running towards him before I literally jumped into his arms. Luckily he had just enough time to get ready to catch me and pick me up off my feet for several moments.
"It's good to see you too love." he said softly, chuckling slightly.
I was ready to kiss him the second my feet were back on the ground, but Dan beat me to it when he lightly brushed his lips against mine as he set me down. My arms were still hooked around his neck and his were wrapped around my waist. He looked down at me with the cutest little smile on his face and I stared up at him, beaming right back.
"Well, shall we go watch the best show ever created ever?" Dan queried as he let go of me.
I let my arms drop back down to my sides before taking his hand, "I don't know how you're gonna make it up to me if it's not the best show I've ever seen."
Dan leaned down and brought his lips to my ear.
"I can think of a few ways." he practically whispered, his voice low.
I immediately felt my face heat and my hand burned in his. I couldn't even look at him right now for fear that he would instantly detect how hot and bothered I was. With how close he was he could probably feel the warmth radiating off my flushed face. My theory must have been right because he just suddenly pulled back and started laughing.
"I'm pretty confident it's the best show ever though so I doubt it'll come to that."
"I-I guess w-we'll see." I managed to get out despite my flustered state.
"I guess we will." Dan agreed before starting to lead me back over to my car.
On the drive back Dan played me some of the music that he was into at the moment. I loved how diverse his tastes were. He really did listen to a little bit of everything. At one point we ended up at a stop light that seemed like it was never going to end and I looked over to see him tapping his hand on his leg to the rhythm of the music. It legitimately blew my mind how good he looked for just having done a show and then getting on a plane straight after. He had on a pair of black sweats and a Twin Peaks High School sweatshirt. Plus his glasses which had become a personal weakness for me and his hair was all messy. I turned my eyes back to the road before he could catch me just in time for the light to finally change to green. We were only a few minutes away from my apartment at this point.
"So, is Heather going to be upset that you're bringing a strange man home?" Dan piped up.
I snickered, "She might be at first, but all you really have to do to win her over is pet her. Do that, and she'll love you for sure."
