The warm wind of late August gently slapped Josh's face as he slowly made his way down the cobblestone path. There were birds singing in the trees and small patches of tiny white flowers lining the edge of the road.

Josh inhaled deeply, a smile spreading across his face as he neared his best friend, Tyler Joseph. Josh sat down in the soft, green grass next to him and whispered a quiet, "Hello". The wind began to pick up and blew gently against Josh's skin. He chuckled to himself as he took out something from his pocket. "This is for you", Josh said, placing a small, hand carved wooden cross down next to Tyler. "Thought you might like it". As he scratched the back of his neck. "I um... I made it myself".

The two best friends sat together for hours beneath the rising sun. It grew in the sky and blazed down, causing Josh to start sweating a little bit. But he didn't mind. "So I was thinking the other day". Josh began before a trickle of laughter escaped his lips. "Remember the time when we would make up stories of how we met? And the guys interviewing us would actually believe us? And then you'd try so hard not to laugh", Josh shook his head and grinned. "Those stories we told were funny".

All throughout the day they sat there, reminiscing on the old times and the memories of meeting all their dedicated fans and giving them new hope... And then their very first show. "I remember you asked me to quit my job". Josh began again with a fond smile, "and I did". He sighed, "but the cops came before we could even play a second song. And then that guy almost peed on my drums.... I remember that day like yesterday".

However Josh couldn't quite remember their first interviews, or their first couple photoshoots felt like. It was hard for him to remember the exact cities they visited while touring.

But... There was one memory josh would never forget......... He closed his eyes, almost shuddering at the memory forming in his mind.

"I remember how I almost killed myself".
Josh began, his voice a little shaky.

"If not you, Tyler, I don't know what would have happened to me". He paused for a moment. Letting them both taking in those dark days again. "I used to say I wanna die before I'm old, but because of you, I thought twice".

He sighed deeply, his chest rising and falling heavily. "And then you did the same...."

"Tyler. You almost left me".

Josh looked away from his friend, tears glistening his eyes. "We were so sure we weren't going to make it". He swallowed a lump in his throat as he turned back to Tyler, "it was so hard. Who would have known what we would become if it all ended back then". Tyler was silent after Josh said this, but he understood perfectly. Josh knew that no words would ever be capable of describing of what they had gone through. Individually and....... Together.

They were truly brothers.
Brothers who fought together on finding purpose and helping out all those kids who needed them the most.

"By the way, Tyler, I saw Jenna the other day" Josh said gently, changing the subject a vouole minutes later. "She is doing alright, she says she misses you, I miss you too, we all miss you". Josh paused as his eyes began to fill with tears. "We all hope to see you soon ". Tears started dripping down his pale cheeks. He sighed, wiping off the tears. "I guess you probably miss us too. Its really sad that we haven't been able to see you recently".

The sun was starting to make its descent from the deep blue sky above. Josh's stomach growled, but he brushed it off. Having his reunion with Tyler was much more important to him.

"I want you to know that in doing okay, even though its been terribly hard after you left us", Josh said sadly. "I really did enjoy drumming with you, even though my vocal skills weren't as great as you said they were". A small laughter escaped his lips.

He could hear Tyler laughing beside.
This made him smile.

"I was even well enough to visit Mark a vouole weeks ago. Unfortunately, he is not doing the best. Mark said he stopped waljong nearly a year ago, but he has a wheelchair". Josh explained. "I told him not to worry. That he'll get the feeling back ok his legs... Eventually".

Darkness wad starting to settle overthe two best friends. Sitting together in the grass. Stars began to twinkle and the chirping of crickets replaces the calming songs of the birds.

Josh suddenly realised that it was later than he had expected. "Maybe I should get going. We both need a little rest, I think". He bit the inside of his bottom lip as he glanced over to Tyler.

One shiny tombstone stood in front of him.

A couple of flowers lay near the bottom, put there by Josh and most likely Tyler's family members."I do miss it though", he whispered, a knot forming in his throat. "I will never forget what it wad like. Looking over the crowd as they sang your lyrics back to us. It was something so special".

After a couple of silent moments, Josh reached over and grabbed his cane which was leaning by the nearby tree. He struggled to put himself off the ground. A groan escaped his mouth as his knees buckled under his weight. Finally, standing up, he re-adjusted his glasses and took one more look at his friend. The friend Josh was glad to know in his life-time. The best friend anyone fouls ever ask for.Josh was s alive, but deeply stricken by the old age.

"If we could turn back time". Josh hoarsely whispered, "to the good ol' days...."

He said goodbye before shuffling his was back down the cobblestone road.

One week later, Josh was able to join his friend.

One more tomb wad added to that graveyard, the two of them right beside eachother.

They got to play one last show together.

The world never forgot about those two boys. Who changed thiusends of lives and saved countless more.
Showing that,
Purpose is found in creating
Something that only you can understand
Something that you believe in.......
And that we should never give up.

Once again those two boys from Columbus, Ohio were......
