chapter 4

Coming in the door, Matt abandoned the shopping bag on the floor in the kitchen and ran back up to his bed, all the while logging on to instagram again. Today had been a really bad day. A 5 minute trip to the shops down the road turned into a 15 minute abuse session, as he'd accidentally bumped into the school bully, William. Seeing the messages from Dom gave him a little happiness, as he opened the dm and read the message with teary eyes.

Did he really put a heart after it? Matt's belly fluttered as he smiled weakly through his tears. He needed to talk with Dom. His mood was at an all time low and he needed Dom's company.

xx_matt.the.muse_xx Hey Dom, can I call you? I need someone to talk to...

Dom had left it on seen, when almost instantly, his number flashed up on the screen. Matt held the phone shakily to his ear and accepted the call.

"Matt! Are you okay? What's up?"

Matt tried to stop crying and regain his calm - focusing on Dom's lush voice.

"Hey D-Dom, its just.. long story."

"Fuck I'm sorry Matt, do you wanna tell me what happened?"

"Uhh.. well... a d-dude from school literally hates me. H-He saw me today while I was going to the s-shops and decided to beat me u-up. I usually have Chris and Tom to stop him and his gang, b-but they're both still away with family-" Matt stuttered, fumbling over the words and blubbering through his frequent sobs and tears.

"Fuck.. I'm really sorry Matt, I really wish i could do something.. please just stay strong.." Dom trailed off, tearing up at his feeling of helplessness towards his friend.
"I just want you to be happy.." He added, in a low, barely audible mumble.

"T-Thank you Dom." Matt sniffed.

"What do they do to you..?" Dom sighed in despair, trying to eek as much information out of Matt so he could try comfort him.

"They p-push me around, beat me up and call me names.. T-The usual bully stuff.." Matt whispered, feeling his throat tighten up as another round of tears made their way down his face.

"Do you know why they do this stuff to you?" Dom queried, the upset tone in his voice much more prominent now.

"Well, I'm really just the loner. and.." Matt cut himself off, momentarily debating whether to tell Dom his not-so-secret. After a moment, he decided he'd go ahead - Dom deserved to know.

"I'm bisexual."
