Addison, Scorpius, and Albus were all sitting together in the Great Hall one afternoon mid-September, talking about homework. Quite boring, truthfully.

Out of the blue, Addison just randomly blurts out "Patience, child!" and Scorpius bursts out in fits of laughter.

"What's so funny?" Albus asks, confused.

"Oh- you had to be there, Albus. It was
hilarious! That's one of me and Adds' inside jokes. We have tons!" Scorpius said excitedly. He doesn't seem like his normal self. Almost like he's being controlled or something.

"Well, I better head off, I need to -" She pauses hesitantly. " er, - get to class early. Bye Scorps." Addison says, getting up and walking away.
"I love her." Scorpius mutters under his breath.

"I don't." Albus scoffs, rolling his eyes.

"What? Take that back. Addison is perfect!"

"Well excuse me for not liking someone who stole my best friend!"

"Is that what you think?" Scorpius says, storming off from the table, going in the same direction as Addison. I decide to skip my last couple classes, since they are all with Scorpius. I don't want to see him right now. His behavior is suddenly far too erratic.

I go up to my dormitory. As soon as I get in, I begin to cry. My best friend hates me now.

My only friend hates me now.

Albus begins to write a letter, to Scorpius. He didn't plan on sending it. Sometimes, Albus would just like to write out his emotions.

Dear Scorpius "Scor" (or "Scorp") Hyperion Malfoy,

I apologize for being such a bitch at lunch today. I'm sorry I'm sorry im sorry I'm sorry. I just feel like you don't have time for me anymore. I love you (this ended up being scribbled out with really dark ink.) and pleaseeeee don't hate me.

   Your least favorite person,

   albus p.

He puts his quill down and takes a nap.

Little does he know, his pesky little owl sent it out.

Scorpius was concerned to say the least. Addison and him were sitting together at Dinner. Scorpius hasn't seen Albus since lunch.

"Do you think Albus is okay, Add?"

    "Why wouldn't he be?"

"I got in a fight with him right after you left and I haven't seen him since."

"I'm sure he's fine. Don't worry about him, he's annoying anyway." Addison says, scooting closer to Scorpius, leaning into him.

Suddenly, Albus' owl comes into the Great Hall, dropping a letter onto Scorpius' empty plate. Wearily, he opens the envelope and reads the letter. He decides not to do anything about this note, until he noticed "I love you" scribbled out in black ink.
--

Worriedly, Scorpius begins to walk up to his dormitory. He hears loud sobs coming from the dormitory. He begins to walk faster.

Albus was crying nonstop. He didn't know why he couldn't stop crying, he just couldn't. He hears footsteps. Assuming it's their other roommate Thomas, he gets into bed and closes his eyes, trying to stop his sobbing and hyperventilating.

"Albus?" He hears Scorpius say, his soft voice laced with sadness and concern.

"Im okay. I'm okay. I'm okay." Albus begins repeating nonstop. Scorpius goes over and hugs his best friend.

"No you're not. I'm so sorry. "
Albus just keeps crying but eventually calms down.
" I guess I can forgive you." Albus says, beginning to calm down a little.

"Also, could you please not act like Addison is your best-est friend ever. That's my job." Albus says jokingly, even though he was being dead serious.

"Albus, you'll be always be my best-est friend."

"Always?"

"Always."
