Chapter 2 : Meeting Niall

The following day, we were going in Ireland to visit my Irish grandparents, which means seven-hour drive to get there. My sister being so annoying and my mother putting her music at the maximum volume, my date with Liam went far away from my thoughts. I finally fell asleep with my favourite music playlist covering Adele singing ''Never mind I'll find, someone like you...'' for the tenth time.

When I awoke, my favourite song of One Direction was playing ''Stand Up'' and I waited for my favourite part which was Louis and Niall's :

'I know your hearts been broken but don't you give up

I'll be there yeah I know it to fix you with love

It hurts me to think that you've ever cried'

I smiled because I just love to hear both of their voices in that part! It's just sad that they have less verses to sing on the album then the others, though. That makes me think that I've never really seen their faces, unless on the album cover, so I don't really know how they look like. But at least, I do know that Harry has curly hair, Niall's a fake-blond Irish and Zayn's half Pakistani and has a few tattoos. And I know it's weird, but I prefer it like this because when I hear a song, I can concentrate more on their amazing voices and imagine their faces in my head.

When I finally opened my eyes, I saw that we were already arrived at my grandparents' and I was alone in the car. The sun was still in the sky, so I took my baggage, put them into my room assigned, said ''Hello'' and hugged my grandparents, before I left for the nearest park, my earphones put on. I sat on a bench covered by snow but I didn't really care, I just wanted to relax in some quiet place where I could think alone. After a while, the sound of someone playing guitar interrupted my thoughts, so I opened my eyes, frustrated and about to leave, and removed an earphone. That's when I saw him. I stopped my movement and completely opposite emotions replaced my frustration.

Niall

I've decided to go to the park with my guitar to sing, or to find, maybe, an inspiration to write a new song. I also knew that the park was empty at this time of the year, so I would be alone. When I got there, I started to play ''Stand Up'' on my guitar and as I was starting to sing Liam's part :

'From the moment I met you

Everything changed

I knew I had to get you

What ever the pain'

When I turned and saw her, in all her beautiful simplicity, sitting on a bench covered by snow but didn't seem to care and looking at me curiously. I continued singing while walking in her direction, sat next to her as she started timidly to sing along with me. She knew the lyrics by heart and I was amazed to see her beautiful smile and the stars lightning up in her eyes as she sang. At the end of the song, she started laughing and I couldn't help myself from doing the same without even knowing why we were laughing. When we stopped, we were both breathless, looking into each other's eyes and smiling. Her cheeks were red, her smile blooming and her blue eyes sparkled.

-I'm Laura, she said, nice to finally meet you Niall!

-How do you-, I started.

-I've been listening to your voice for months, she said, pointing at her ipod, and you're a fake-blond, pointing my hair.

I burst out laughing.

-I see then, I'm glad to meet you too Laura! Oh! And, by the way, you have a pretty voice, you know?

She looked away shyly, put a lock of hair behind her ear and thanked me, in a whisper.

'Am I dreaming?' I thought, 'She's lovely, pretty, a good singer and modest?' I just couldn't believe it!

Laura

I talked with my new friend until it was almost completely dark outside. I learned a lot of things about him like that he has a big brother called Greg, his favourite male singer is Justin Bieber, his inspiration is Michael Bublé and his favourite restaurant is Nandos. We also discovered that we had some points in common like our favourite sport is football (soccer), we both like The Script, our favourite color is blue and our favourite video game is FIFA. That's just a part of the things I learned and I told him a lot of things about me too. I didn't even know why I was saying all those things to him because I didn't know if it interested him but it seemed to ,so we kept talking.

When we decided to leave the park, he walked with me until we arrived in front of my door. Then, he asked for my number, blushing, and I wrote it on his arm. We said ''Good night'' and I entered in the house. It was dinner time and I almost didn't eat, dreaming of Niall. Approximately one hour after we left each other, I received a text from him saying :

Hi Laura!

I really liked our afternoon in the park and I was thinking if you would like to go to the movies with me Friday night?

Any other night could do too if you already have plans for that night...Anyways, euh... Just hope you'll say yes!

At that moment, the memory of Liam came back in my mind because I had a date with him Saturday morning... Anyways, I'll go to both and see what will happen next! So, I texted Niall back telling him that Friday night was perfect and asking at what time he'll get me.
