THURSDAY 7:54AM
Everyone is busy. Everyone has things to do, people to be with. All Alicia had was Noora, walking by her side, into the school ground. Suddenly, her green eyes met Chris Schistad's ones, they held the gaze for a while.
"Are you going to talk to him?" Her friend asked.
"I could." She then shook her head, "But I'm not."
Alicia could try one more time, to understand him one more time. But for what? More heartbreak? Haven't her heart been through enough? Maybe she wasn't supposed to be love, only to give it.
She can feel herself suffocating in his eyes, like he's poisoning her.
"At least he still cares." Noora numbled.
Alicia looked up to her, "William loves you so much. You're meant to be together."
"Or meant to break each other."
It was the saddest thing the brunette had ever heard.
Chris stood up from the Penetrator's table, William's seat was still empty. Alicia breathed when she saw him walking her away. She looked at Noora in a need for help.
"Hey," Schistad approached them, "can we talk?"
"We're late for English." Alicia avoided his eyes.
"It only rings in ten minutes." He replied, "I just want to explain myself."
"Why you punched the Baardsson brothers?" She crossed her arms over her chest, "Or why you didn't tell me about it?"
"Both, I guess." Chris shrugged.
"Well I don't wanna hear it." The brunette stopped him, "We had a thing, but it's over now."
"Alicia I –."
Her green eyes fell to the ground while he tried to search for them desesperately.
"You can't even look me in the eye." He realized.
"You should go, Chris." Noora finally said.
"I'm clearly not wanted here, so yeah I'll go." And with that he left.
Alicia looked up then, wishing he had fought a little harder. But just like always, he never does. She wanted him to know that there were only two types of people who can't look at another in the eyes: someone trying to hide a lie or someone trying to hide a love.
And Alicia wanted him to know she was so deeply in love with him.
"You should listen to him, Alicia." Noora told her.
2:14PM
"Hey!"
Alicia stopped walking and turned around, Isak was running her way with a smile on his face. She couldn't help but smile too.
"So how are you?" He asked.
"I'm great."
Of course Isak knew she was lying but not wanting to push the subject further, he accepted her answer. They both started walking in the direction of the Russ Bus' table.
"So your moms are giving a party this weekend?" He commented.
"Yap. Everyone's invited so it's gonna be... awesome." Alicia rolled her eyes.
"Hey, it is going to be fun!" Isak punched her lightly, "You can finally get drunk and get your feelings out of your chest."
"I don't have feelings to let out." She denied.
