Alicia wasn't the one who approached Chris, she couldn't. She was breathless, scared. Before her eyes met his, she was so sure of everything – of him. But now, it was a secret, even for her.

"Hey," Chris approached her instead, "great party."

"Thanks." She swallowed.

"Have you had enough beers so we can talk?"

Alicia looked up at him, "Am I that predictable?"

"No. It was a guess." Chris smirked, "Or maybe I just know you that well."

"Maybe you do." The brunette, bravely, held his hand, "Come with me."

Alicia guided Schistad all the way through the crowd. Jakob wasn't in the staircase anymore, so the path was clear when they climbed up the stairs, and then all the way to her room.

He looked around, "Nice place."

"Where is Christoffer Schistad?" She raised her eyebrows, with a small smile.

"What do you mean?" Chris was confused.

"Any other time you'd have said something flirtatious already." Alicia accused.

"Maybe I'm... going for a chance." He shrugged, walking further into the room, "Probably not."

"What a shame." She took a breath, "I was about to go on a never ending speech about how I'm ready to accept you the way you are."

Chris looked at her in a violent move.

All Alicia ever wanted was someone that would fight for her, fight to be with her, want all of her even with the stupid vow attached to the ring. And to wait for her. Instead, Alicia was the one fighting for Chris, to be with him.

"Are you sure?" He swallowed, "It will be hard. There will be fights, a lot of them."

"I know. But we've to try." Alicia got closer to him.

Chris placed a hand on her cheek, "Cause I've to warn you, I won't change. This is who I am, and I guess you'll have to trust me, with all you have, that I won't hurt you."

"I know that too." She swallowed, "But it doesn't have to be easy. It just have to be real."

They pressed their foreheads together.

"I have to say it, Alicia." He whispered, "I'm sorry for all the wrong things I did, I never meant to hurt you. It's just that sometimes I want to help and end up ruining everything."

"Shh, it's ok." The brunette touched his lips.

"I've waited for you all this time." Chris told her.

"I never expected you too. I thought you'd move one, I was waiting for it."

"I can't stop it. I was just scared of finding out you're the love of my life. I was scared of you understanding me, accepting me but I was also scared that you wouldn't." Schistad let out, "I was scared that you'd give up on me. I was scared of loving."

"So you're not scared anymore?" She got a small no from him, and continued, "I was scared of a lot of things too. But I'm done being the perfect girl, who does everything for everyone. I want to do this one thing for me, to be able to choose you without having to think about how that will change me. Because I need to change, I have to."

Alicia grabbed into his shoulders, looked deep into his eyes.

"I'm tired of controlling myself. I'm done being afraid of breaking things that might not be able to get fixed." The brunette sighed, "They will break anyway. Doesn't matter what we do."
