Norah's eyes slowly shifted open. For a moment, she was confused on why she was confined. Her pale green eyes looked over at Gabriel who was snoring softly, his head perched against her neck. His arms wrapped around her delicate waist, but that was all she felt of him. Their bodies separated only by a body pillow. It was Gabriel's idea. After all he did keep his promise, not that anyone else had to know that.

The dark-haired girl yawned softly as her eyes closed once again. Perhaps she could get use to this. Norah smiled at thinking of Gabriel's reaction to her saying that. She laid there for a while. Her eyes closed.

It was then she heard it.

The sound of her door opening. Norah tightened her eyes shut. She tried not to move. Her heart raced. Gabriel must have been right, the did send someone to check up on them.

Although still asleep, Gabriel clutched the girl tighter towards him. His hand slowly moving against her bare skin as he trailed light kisses down the back of her neck. He was asleep right?

With the clothes that were tossed upon the floor, Norah's wedding dress included, the two sleeping together on the bed, and her sleeping dress hidden behind blankets the intruder must have presumed something had happened because they left shortly after giving a small grump.

"Stay in bed a bit longer," whispered Gabriel's sleepy voice. "Please, I don't want to get up as of yet."

"I thought you were asleep."

Gabriel chuckled slightly. "As did I. Actually, I still think I am."

Norah sighed softly, spinning around slowly until she was facing Gabriel. He half attempted a smile as Norah placed her hands across Gabriel's bare shoulders. "I'm pretty sure not. Good morning."

"G'mornin'." Gabriel replied.

"Time to get up."

"I don't want to."

Norah shook her head softly. "It be best we do. I am hungry and you is a master cook."

Gabriel snuffled a yawn into his pillow. "I don't feel like cooking."

"And what would get you wanting to cook." Norah asked, rolling her eyes at his defiance. "I guess that people were right about as soon as people were being married the guy stopped doing cute stuff."

Gabriel studied her. "I was planning on making food, just not at the moment. Give me a few, alright. That person is still downstairs."

Norah blinked surprised. "How can you tell?"

"I can hear them moving around."

"What are they looking for?"

"Not sure. So be quiet."

Norah blinked and whispered, "Could it be a thief?"

"If anything it is a noisy orphans looking for food. Not to worry though, they'll find the snacks I made for them soon enough."

"Why an orphan?"

"My parents probably bribed one of them over here to check up on us. They probably realized if anyone else came over I'd wouldn't too be happy with them and chase them off. But they know I have a soft spot for orphans and so they know I won't do anything but be proper to them."

"That makes sense."

"It better." Laughed Gabriel as he closed his eyes and pressed closer to Norah. "Let me sleep."

Norah watched him silently as he began to breath slowly. She watched his chest rise and fall for a few moments before rolling over to get out of bed. Gabriel stopped her, his warm hands wrapping around her waist.

"C'mon, I don't smell that bad, do I?" He uttered when his face touched her back.

Norah sighed. "No, I just want to get up."

Gabriel grunted letting go of her and stuffed his face into a pillow. "Women..." He grunted.

"Men," she said in reply. "Go ahead, waste the day. I'm making breakfast. Whether you get up to get some is your concern."

Gabriel looked at her with half open eyes. "Do you even know how to cook?"

"Yes."

"Mhmm..." He said with slight disbelief in his voice.

"I do."

"Prove it, Miss Norah."

Norah tossed a pillow at him. Perfect aim. Hit him straight in the face. She laughed as she excited the room. "Maybe I will."
