“Good Morning beautiful,” a husky voice, breath warm against her neck.
Norah smiled as she felt Gabriel run his hands over her arm ever so softly. “Good morning.” she replied with a laugh as he dipped below the blankets rubbing her stomach before he pulled her closer to him. She closed her eyes letting his scent invade her nose. She couldn’t help but laugh lightly as his breath tickled her neck. “I love you.”
“I love you too, my sweet Norah.”
Norah turned around facing him with twinkling eyes. She kissed him softly on the mouth enjoying the moment while it lasted. Which unfortunately wasn’t long enough for some.
A small cry came from a crib next to the bed. Before Norah could even rise out of bed to go tend to the baby, Gabriel had already slipped out of bed, reaching in and scooping out little Tiber and quieting his cries. Gabriel smiled up at Norah as he walked barefoot towards her. He sat down beside her as she rested her head on his shoulder.
“Tired love?”
“No, just enjoying this.”
He smiled, kissing her forehead. Gabriel handed the now sleeping little boy over to Norah when a knock came from the door. He then slipped off the bed and opened the door to their room. Rosemary was right outside the door. She had looks of awe on their face at the sight of the baby before looking over at Gabriel.
Before she could open their mouths to speak, Gabriel chuckled. “Make sure they are all up, beds made. Have Emily help you if needed. I’ll make food for them in a minute. Tell them all to wash up and put out the plates.”
She smiled and nodded before walking down the hall out of sight.
“Bunch of rug-rats.” Gabriel said with a smile as he walked over to the bed, kissing Norah on the forehead.
Norah shook her head as she got up kissing him on the lips. She looked down at their child before looking back up at him. “Shush. You wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“I know.” Gabriel replied, eyes soft. “What would I do without you?”
“Not going crazy from twenty orphans children running around this house along with a child of your own.” Norah laughed as she placed Tiber back in his crib. “Come on. They won’t wait forever for food, master chef.”
"That is true." Gabriel replied taking her hand. Norah smiled up at him. Things were perfect.
