Norah awoke with a start. Disoriented and confused she looked around the white room of the hospital. Wait a minute, how did she wind up here?

"Glad to see you are awake."

Her eyes snapped to the door. She blinked several times before realizing it was Rosemary. "Where is Gabriel?" She asked. Rosemary's eyes dropped to the floor, and Norah began to panic. "Where's Gabe, Rosemary? Where is he?" Tears started to fall down her face as Rosemary slowly made her way over to her. "Please don't tell me he's dead. Please don't say he's dead."

"Hush, Norah." Rosemary said pulling the girl into a tight hug. "Its going to be okay."

Norah's heart began breaking. "No it won't." She said, feeling utterly alone and depressed. Tears started to fall covering the orphan girl's shirt. "That jerk left me. I don't have anything anymore..."

"Don't' say that."

"Why?"

"Because this jerk brought you flowers, Miss. And this jerk has been worried sick for the last week."

Norah pulled away to see Gabriel at the door. He looked just like he had, just with his head bandaged, a goofy grin, and a dozen roses in hand. More tears spilled from her eyes. And she even flung her pillow at his face. "You jerk."

"I suppose I deserve that." He whispered putting the flowers on the chair and slowly sitting on the bed. Norah. And she wasn't sure if she captured his lips or he captured hers, but suddenly they were kissing. Her hands touched both sides of his face as their lips touch and tongues mingled.

They only pulled away when Rosemary coughed slightly uncomfortable and Norah soon remembered why. She was in a hospital gown. Norah blushed embarrassed as Rosemary offered to go fetch a nurse. As she left the room, Gabriel looked at Norah smiling with tears in his eyes.

"I though I had lost you." Gabriel whispered touching her face.

"And what about you? You had Rosemary making me think you were dead."

"I'm sorry Norah, for everything." He said leaning in and kissing her on the lips again. "Forgive me?"

"Yes."

Gabriel smiled. "Thank you." He kissed her cheek softly and whispered oh so softly in her ear. "I'll show you how sorry I am when we get home... If you want." He lightly touched her leg as he nuzzled her neck.

Norah smiled. "I'd like that." She said moving a bit so she was laying more on his chest.
