Gabriel gasped for breath, having ran all the way from point a to point b. He did it so that he knew none of the orphens would bother try following him. And even though he was exhausted from running, the fires of loathing kept him going. He looked around and froze momentarily at the sound of crying and screaming.
"P-p-please stop," a voice cried from the warehouse followed by another yell of pain.
Gabriel's clenched his fist, realizing quickly it was Norah who screamed and cried. He stormed inside gasping outloud at what he saw. The girl he loved was chained upon the bed, naked and bloody like the day she was born on a bed of just springs. The springs were coppery brown from her blood. He's stomach twisted with guilt as he spotted the man whom had done this to her slowly making another thin slice into her hand.
Gabriel growled. Furious, he tackled the man. In which they then began scuffling around in the dirt, Gabriel's anger fueling his fighting spirit. He wasn't about to quit until the man was dead. He however didn't expect for there to be another one, until Norah yelled out, in a terrified voice, "BEHIND YOU!"
It was to late however. Gabriel felt his jaw clink together as a great weight thanked against the back of his head. He fell unconscious to his love's screams of shock and terror.
What felt like several hours later, though was probably only a few minutes later, Gabriel woke up to the sounds of laughter. Cracking his eyes open, he saw the two men standing around his head. "Wakie, wakie," one said rubbing his foot over Gabriel's face. He scrunched up his face trying to get up. However his hands were chained together. Cursing lightly, Gabriel eyes looked around for Norah.
"Git up." The other man said, pulling Gabriel to his feet. "She's still alive... for now. Takin' a small nap, she is." The man laughed, "Once I have a bit more fun with her, then I'll go about killing her. Perhaps I'll have you watch. Mmm?"
Gabriel growled attacking the man. He snapped his neck, an instant kill before looking over at the other. It was obvious to him, this was no the mastermind. The man backed away, sweat covering his entire being. Gabriel crunched his fists together, ready to destroy the man who hit him over the head. "You know what they call me?"
Fear was held in the other man's eyes. He backed up into a wall. This made Gabriel smirk as he grabbed the man by the neck and held him up in the air. The man chocked, his air passage closing with the grasp.
"Angel of Death." he said, "Fitting isn't it." Gabriel then killed him and turned over to where Norah laid, chained up. He ignored his own throbbing of the back of his head to make sure she was alright.
"Norah," he whispered as he sat beside her. He checked for a pulse and sighed with relieve in seeing she wasn't dead, though she was unconscious.. He picked her up slowly from the bed. "Love, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. He whispered seeing her body. Paper thin cuts covered her body. "Don't die on me Norah. Please. I'm so sorry. Hold on. I'm going to get us home. Stay with me." He kissed her forehead and headed away from the place of sorrow and pain. He left the bodies where they were. They'd be found soon enough.
