"I...I don't know what's happening to me." I say, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
"I don't know what's happening to me either. Whenever I'm around you, I just..."
Logan cups my cheek with one calloused hand.
"All I know is that I love you, Sara."
I smiled at him, my heart feeling full. My breathing quickens as he starts to lean down.
"I love you too."
A loud knock on my door causes me to snap my head up from my book.
"Athena, it's time to get up."
Already? I look at my alarm clock. 7:45.
Damnit.
I fold a corner on top of the page and close the book.
"Uh...okay, I'm almost ready." I lie.
I quickly strip off my pajamas and frantically search for a pair of leggings.
I pick a pair up from my messy floor and pull my short black hair up into a bun, some hair falling onto my neck.
I slap my hands over my face. Glasses. Where are my glasses? Shit.
I search for the familiar lenses and finally find them on top of my fish tank.
How'd they get there?
Nevermind.
I shake my head as I put them on and run my tongue over my teeth.
Some gum and I'll be fine. Yes, I know it's nasty. I rub deodorant on my armpits and throw the bottle on my bed.
Shirt, shirt, shirt.
I pick up my red sweatshirt and look around to make sure nobody's watching.
Even though that's not really possible for somebody to be watching.
Oh well.
I throw it on and slip into my fuzzy boots. Why wear socks when you can wear fuzzy boots, after all.
I throw my backpack over my shoulder and all but run out of my bedroom.
"Hi Mom. Bye Mom." I say as I run in and out of the kitchen.
