I groan as a hand shakes me awake.

Don't open your eyes, Athena.

Just hope that your mom decided to come into your room to wake you up for the first time in forever.

"C'mon, honeybunches, time to wake up." The voice of my FM snaps me back to reality.

I'm still here.

This isn't a dream.

I open my eyes and look up into the face of the person I hoped I wouldn't see.

FM.

"Good morning, dumpling." She says in a voice dripping with sweetness.

I hold back the urge to punch her in the face.

"Morning." I say with no trace of any emotion in my voice.

Quite bluntly, I'm pissed.

I'm pissed at this not just being a dream.

I'm pissed that my fake mom is so annoying.

I'm pissed at myself for making that wish.

I'm pissed about the fact that I don't know anything about FCW.

I'm just pissed.

"There's a boy waiting outside for you." She says, winking at me before leaving the room, thank God.

Wait.

Oh no.

Which one is it? Parker? Logan? Caleb? Reece?

I groan and throw off the covers.

I trudge over to the only other door in my room, assuming it's the closet, and open it.

"Oh. My. Lord." I say as I look at all the clothes.

How did this even...

I eagerly walk into the closet and rifle through all the clothes.

There's so many...it's insane.

I pull out a plain black shirt and some high waisted jeans. I dig around in all the boxes of shoes until I find my favorite pair.

My dirty old red Converse.

You're probably wondering why I'd choose an outfit like that when I have so many options for clothes.

I just want something simple. Everything right now is so complicated.

I put it on and pat my hair, realizing it's still in the bun.

I take it down and comb it out with my fingers.

Which means I didn't really "comb it out". Whatever.

I put my FCW notes back in my bag and run my tongue over my teeth.

They're still clean.

Interesting.
