"You're lying." I manage to get out.
"I wish I was lying, to be honest." He shifts uncomfortably as he stares at the steering wheel.
"God, this is too much." I groan, rubbing a hand over my forehead.
"Where exactly did you find this car?" He asks.
I glance at him out of the corner of my eye. "Why do you want to know?"
"Did you find it somewhere?" He asks, ignoring my question.
"You could say that." I say, even though it's not true at all.
"That's interesting." He rubs a hand over his face and mutters something indecipherable under his breath.
"What was that?" I ask.
"I have a bad feeling about this." He mutters under his breath.
I laugh bitterly. "You have a bad feeling about this? I just let a guy covered in blood get in my car."
"Except it's not your car." He mutters.
I shift uncomfortably in my seat as the car seems to get closer to the house.
Slowly, painfully slow, the house starts to appear again and #2 let's out an agitated breath.
Finally the car stops in front of the house.
I turn it off and open the door but freeze when he doesn't make a move to get out.
"Are you coming?" I ask.
He stares at the house with a pale face.
I walk around to the other side of the car and open the door.
"Thought you were dead for a second." I say.
I unbuckle the seatbelt for him. "I'll help you out." I wrap an arm around his shoulder and haul him out of the car, half dragging him towards the door.
It opens and Talia stands in the doorway.
And oh, if looks could kill.
We'd both be dead.
"Nick." She says, stiffly. "Its been a while, hasn't it?"
I look at him and he stares at her. His jaw hangs down and I resist the urge to close his mouth for him.
"You're...you're dead."
