I'm hoping it's just FM

I'm hoping it's just FM. But I'm not that lucky.

We've learned that by now.

I slowly turn around and come face to face with the one person I do not want to see.

I bet you can guess who it is.

Go on, take a wild guess.

If you guessed Reece, you're not wrong.

He has his arms crossed and he raises an eyebrow at me.

"Why are you standing on my fake lawn?" I ask.

"I was waiting for you to come back. Your mom's nice and let me wait inside. She told me to sit down. There was a chair." Reece glares at me. "Right by the window."

I internally smirk. Bet he's so jealous.

Then I feel my face heat up. So he saw the...damnit.

I take a deep breath. "Why were you waiting here? Couldn't you just text me?"

Reece looks at his shoes. "They took my phone away."

Nearly laughing, I tuck a hair behind my ear as I snort. "Why?"

"Because they don't want me talking to you." He says, looking up.

"Why?" I mutter.

"Because it will ruin their little perfect world. You're not supposed to be friends with the antagonist." He says, running a hand through his hair.

A smile eases it's way onto my face. "So we're friends?"

"No. But they think we are." He rushes out.

Rolling my eyes, I kick at the grass on my fake lawn.

Reece rubs a hand over his face and mutters something.

"What did you say?" I ask.

"I'm sorry. About earlier." He mutters again.

"One more time?"

"Oh my God. I. Am. Sorry." He nearly shouts.

I smile and before I know it, I'm pulling him to me and wrapping my arms around his waist.

He does the thing where he stiffens up. Then he wraps his arms around me and holds me to him tightly.

"Looks like you had fun on your date." He says with distaste as he pulls back.

To my dismay.

He looks at my tank top and shakes his head at me. "And you wore that. I bet all he was looking at-"

"Reece!" I say, interrupting what he was about to say. "Logan isn't like that."

"You know he saw me. Right before he swapped saliva with you."
