Chapter 17

3rd person POV

After answering questions, the sun started to set, catching the attention of the monsters. "Well, child, I believe it may be time for us to leave now." Asgore said, standing up. "Wait! I have one for question for you." Toriel said. "What is it?" (Y/n) asked. Blue then noticed that the necklace he gave her was visible. "Where did you get that necklace?" Toriel asked, pointing to the red and gold dragon key charm. "Blue brought it to me the second time he visited me." (Y/n) said. Chara started whispering stuff to Undyne causing them to fangirl slightly.

"Does Sans have one as well?" Papyrus asked as he stood up. Blue nodded. "I bought them as a symbol of our friendship." He said as he pulled out his blue and silver dragon key charm, which was hidden under his bandana. Undyne started to fangirl more and Chara was still whispering to her. "I have a question! Why don't you come with us? You can stay in your human form and people will think that you're some kind of human-monster hybrid!" Chara said smiling.

That had gotten (y/n) to think. "That won't make sense since monsters were only released a few years ago...then again humans aren't very bright" (y/n) thought. "I guess that could but, I'd have to use magic in order to minimize my soul power. But is that truly what you all want?" She asked. Papyrus shrugs his shoulders while everyone else was encouraging the idea. (Y/n) smiled and the tip of her pointer fingers started to glow (f/c). She made the outline of a heart which turned upside down and floated to her chest. The (f/c) outline sank into her chest and her fingers stopped glowing.

"Alright! I'm ready to go!" (Y/n) exclaimed as she stood up. "What exactly did you just do?" Alphys asked as (y/n) walked to the small tunnel with Blue not far behind. "Its just a simple spell that allows me to be hidden from other dragons. Think of it as something like a ninja mode." (Y/n) as she used magic to move the plants, creating a tunnel large enough for Asgore to stand straight up.

The group walked into the tunnel, (y/n) and Blue were the last to go through, and appeared in the park. (Y/n) then shivered and closed the tunnel. "What's wrong?" Blue asked as he and the dragon girl followed the other Monsters. "I'm just uncomfortable being away from things I'm used to." She said before holding Blue's hand. This cause a light blue blush to show on his cheekbones. "Why's that?" He asked.

"Dragons are born where the parents want them to feel safe and hidden. I was born in a dense forest with a clearing. No dragon likes feeling unprotected so they stay were they feel safe. Now that I'm leaving, I don't feel as safe as I did in the clearing." (Y/n) says. Blue felt sad and hurt at her words. "Does me being here with you help?" Blue asked. (Y/n) nodded. "A lot honestly. I never would have left if you weren't here. Because I've known you for such a long time now, I feel comfortable around you. Congratulations." She said.

"For what?" Blue asked. "For earning the trust of a dragon." (Y/n) smiled and pulled him closer.
