Blueberry's POV

During dinner, I kept on thinking about my fight with Papy and how I feel about (y/n). 'That's it. I've made up my mind! I'm going to do it! But when, where, and how? I guess I'll have to sleep on it..' "Sans? Are you alright? You zoned out." Toriel asked. I perked up. "Oh! Its nothing I was just thinking about something!" I say before stuffing my mouth with food so I couldn't talk.

After dinner, everyone went to their rooms. Except me, I walked outside and sat down on the steps. I just need to clear my mind and make sure this is something that I really want. The door then opened, quickly looking to see who it is, I find (y/n) in a baggy shirt for pajamas. She closed the door softly and walked up me before sitting down next to me.

"Is something wrong Blueberry? You seem quiet." She said. I sigh and look at her straight in her beautiful (e/c) eyes. "(Y/n), tell me more about dragons being mates." I saw boldly. She seemed shocked at this but calmed quickly. "What is that you want to know?" She asks. I shrug. "How long do dragons stay mates? How do dragons become mates? How does it all work?" I ask, still starring into her eyes. "Well, when two dragons feel a special bond for each other, which humans call Love, they both agree that they want to become mates. On the night of a full moon, they preform a ritual and identical marks appear on their body and SOUL. Those marks represent that they are now one. Dragons also mate for life. That's why the marks appear on the SOULS. If one is in danger the other will feel a stinging like pain in their SOUL. If one is in pain, such as from a wound, the other can feel the pain but isn't caused any injury." (Y/n) says.

"And what if one dies?" I ask in a shaky voice. "That's a pretty deep question for you, Blue. But to answer question, it depends. They both die at the same time if one was murdered. If one died of natural causes then the other will wait for their day of death. No looking for a new mate. That's it." She says coldly at the end. I shiver and nod my head.

"Why are you asking these questions, Blueberry? These are very deep questions for someone who's so cheerful." (Y/n) says, looking at me with worried eyes. I sigh again and grab her hand, holding it in mine makes my SOUL flutter. 'This is something that I have to do!' I stand up, so my skull is level with her head. "Blue? What are you-" I cut her off by kissing her. She let out a cute surprised squeak before letting go of my hand and wrap her arms around my neck, kissing me back.

I pull away and stare into her eyes. My hand goes up to her cheek and holds it gently. "I've thought about why I kissed you the first time, and its because I love you! I want to be with you! I want to be your mate for the rest of my life! " I say blushing a bright blue all over my skull. I closed my eye sockets while saying the last bit. The silence killed me ever second. I then felt her hands moove to my cheekbones. "Blue, look at me." I hear her say. Slowly I open my eye sockets to see a smile if her face. "I love you too! Now, let's go to bed. Its cold out here."
