Chapter 39

(Y/n)'s POV

I wake due to me becoming cold. Looking over to see that Blue was gone. Sitting up, i look around the house in hopes to find him. "Blue? ... Blue!" I call out. After getting up from the bed, my stomach growled and an odd hunger craving started.

"Berries? I dont eat berries that often.." Everything on my mind currently vanished as food was the only thing on my mind now. I leave the house and start walking around the forest. Sniffing the air i could tell that berries where far away so i turn into my dragon form and take off.

As i fly, i follow the scent to what looks to be a human berry farm. Thanks to it still night, almost sunrise, the humans shouldn't be awake yet. I land at the back of the farm and start chomping away. The juices of the berries made a mess around my mouth and on my snout but all i cared for was to satisfy my hunger.

Once i was full, there was red juice dripping off my lips but i wasn't caring about that. The memory of Blue going missing came back and i quickly flew off. 'Where did he go? There wasnt a note either...' i go back home and start sniffing around.

Using my SOUL, i have it make a calling. A slight pain but mostly tingling sensation, Blue would be able to feel it and send a reply that way. What i got back was a small stinging vibration. 'A distress call?' Becoming extremely worried, i used most of my energy to make a portal to where he was.

Hopping into it, im blinded slightly due to everything being white. I growled as i entered and got into a defensive stance. "(Y/n)!" Blue yells excitedly. Turning my head i see he's tied up in some blue strings. Laying down on the floor, i then open my mouth slightly to break the string. Only to be stopped by a voice.

"Dont you dare eat him!" A bone was then thrown towards me. I catch it in my teeth then set it down on the floor. "Eat? Last time i checked, i dont eat monsters." I say innocently. I then start to ramble just to confuse Blue's brother. "Why, when a monster dies they turn to dust. Who would want a mouth full of dust? Not me, that sounds awful."

"You may not eat monsters but what about humans?! You have blood dripping off your mouth!" He growls at me. "Blood? If juice is blood then yes, i do! I was eating berries from a human's farm before Blue sent that distress call." I explained.

Lickling what juice i had left off my mouth, i then proceed to bite the string. It snaps easily and Blue quickly hugged my snout. "I MISSED YOU!" He exclaims. I just nod and let him jump around and hug me happily. Just now noticing that his eye lights turned to hearts again.

"What do you mean b-by distress call?" Undyne asks. "Its... hard to explain." 'Wouldn't want Mr. Protective Carrot to go ballistic on finding out that Blue and i intertwined our SOULS.' I think to myself. Blue just continues to hug me with his extremely happy face.
