Do Opposites Attract or is that Just True for Magnets?

"I didn't say any of those qualities were bad, and if I were you, I wouldn't trust guys like me either." Namjoon chuckled when Jin admitted that he was cynical because of the type of person the younger came off as. If anything, Namjoon was just glad that Jin was being genuine with him and saying what he thought. He'd much rather deal with a truthful 'bitch' than someone who constantly lied about every single thing. After all, truth is what trust is based off, no matter what personality the person had. One thing that Jin said that Namjoon couldn't help but smile a bit at was the fact that he agreed a challenge was nice, because despite their obvious clashing personalities, they might end up becoming closer than either of them had ever even considered.

The loud and dramatic sigh that came from Jin didn't fail to catch Namjoon's attention, and when he turned to the man with a fairly comfortable looking pink blanket draped across his broad shoulders, his body language was much different than before. Previous to going into Philosophy, Namjoon was majoring in Psychology and was suddenly very thankful that the first unit they covered was about body language and how different aspects together could mean very different things. Something that was generally true for most mammals, humans alike, was that when they felt uneasy or threatened, they curled up tightly as an instinct to protect their vital internal organs; a subconscious indicator of someone or something becoming comfortable in their environment was an 'open' body language, one that Jin was currently doing. A small bit of relief bubbled up within Namjoon at the fact that Jin was slowly, but surely coming to be a little less guarded around him.

When Jin spoke up once more, Namjoon was pleasantly shocked to realize that Jin was possibly opening up to him a bit on a more emotional or mental level. With the way he spoke, it was obvious the man had been through some shit that is probably still effecting him to this day. Because really, no one is born playing hard to get, they're shaped into it. Namjoon was thankful that Jin was being so much more open currently than he was previously, and he decided to do the same.

"On the contrary, hanging around easy people has gotten me into some shit. Rumors spread like wildfire so I guess, I'm not known as the campus slut for no reason." Namjoon shrugged simply. The rumors were shit and took quite a toll on Namjoon, but what was worse, was the fact that people actually saw him as the fuck boy that is talked about in those rumors. "People don't care about the truth, they just want to believe what fits their personal agenda." And even though neither man was aware of it, their train of thoughts were almost polar opposites; while Jin's walls were constantly being taken down just to be built back up twice as thick, no one had ever tried to get close enough to even touch a single one of Namjoon's many walls.
