Ch.5: Cafeteria

"Uhh...Tams, ang dami atang tao..." Morrie said worriedly.

We're in a packed canteen during recess looking for a vacant table...

Pinapwesto ko na din si Gian para sa plano namin...

"Oo nga, Mors. Madami."

Oo, Morrie...

Madaming tao...

Just the way I pictured it to be...

Just the way it'll go with my plan...

"Doon tayo oh!" I pointed at a vacant table in the far left side of the canteen.

"Tara!"

Then we sat and started eating--this should be Gian's cue but...where is that Mr. Oyster?!

"Why is the canteen this packed today?" Gian asked aloud. 

He "happened" to pass by. He's holding his tray full, as in FULL ha, of food. Of course, it's planned. Heh.

"Oh...it's Gian..." I noted.

Shocks! Sana lang hindi mahalata ni Morrie kung bakit bigla ko pinansin si Gian ngayon eh dati kulang na lang isuka ko siya... >.<

"Gian!" Morrie called him.

"What are you doing?" I whispered. Kunwari hindi ko alam ang ginagawa niya... Psh!

Morrie shrugged. "Helping."

Lumapit si Gian sa amin, "Bakit?"

"Dito ka na umupo sa amin. Mahirap maghanap ng vacant table. Baka mahulog pa yang mga pagkain mo," Morrie suggested, eyeing Gian's tray.

"Thanks," Gian replied sheepishly.

Yeah! Knowing my bestfriend, kahit si Mr. Oyster ka man o kahit hindi ka pa niya kakilala basta nangangailangan ka, siguradong tutulungan ka niya. Oh di ba? My plan is good, right? I'm sooo genius... Right? Hehehe... Okay, okay, I know. Don't mock me, at least napaglapit ko sila for once nang hindi halata...

Then, Morrie scooted to the right to make room for Gian while I sat opposite of them.

We continued eating.

"Uhh...Morrie, gusto mo?" Gian asked her, handing a bag of banana chips.

"Wow! Favorite ko ito!" Morrie squealed in delight.

"Talaga? Sa'yo na lang yan. May isa pa ako dito," he said coolly.

"Thanks."

Then they continued eating. 

Huh! Sira ulo to ah! Hindi man lang ako inalok! Ako naman nagsabing favorite namin ni Morrie ang banana chips! Eeeeehh! I want some! Makikita ng Mr. Oyster na yan! Sana lang talaga matulungan niya ako kay Edge... Waaaaahhh!

"Gosh naman, where did Morissette ran off to? Hindi man lang niya sa akin sinabi kung saan kami mag-mi-meet ngayong lunch..."

I was scanning the large crowd of students in the canteen, trying to find my bestfriend. Students were holding their trays of food carefully as they tried to find vacant tables. More students tried to make their way past me, nanunulak pa sila. I tried to avoid them. Pero they just push me around. Someone pushed me before I stumbled and was caught by the arms of someone.

"Ano ba yan," I whined. I was already having a hard time finding Morrie and now kailangan pa ako itulak at matumba nang ganito.

"Are you alright?"

I looked up and realized the person holding me... 

...It was none other than EDGE MY LOVES!!!

Gosh!!! He was smiling gently down at me. He's so handsome! My prince! *melts*

My eyes widened at that recognition. I tried my hardest to gain back my composure while my heart is beating crazily in my chest as I nervously got out of his arms.

"S-Sorry... Hindi k-ko... sina..sadya..." I stuttered. Great, Tammy! You're so confident talaga... >.<

"It's okay, maraming tao talaga dito kapag break. Mag-ingat ka na lang lagi, ok? I won't always be there to catch you when you fall," Edge replied, smiling his gorgeous smile again. 

He waved to me and walked away to sit with his friends.

"I won't always be there to catch you when you fall..."

Waaah! Eh paano yan? Na-fall na ata talaga ako sa'yo! Ang sweet naman niya! Kilig! Yieeee!

Ang saya saya ko at that moment, and unconsciously I was smiling like an idiot. I was blushing madly kahit na pinagtututulak pa rin ako ng mga ibang students sa canteen. It's a dream come true! Ang gwapo niya talaga--

Tapos may bumatok sa akin and my fantasy was shut down. WTH?! I turned around and saw Morrie. Great Morrie! You just ruined my fantasy!

"WHERE WERE YOU? Di ba sabi ko na magkita tayo sa LEFT side ng canteen today during Economics?"

Economics? Naku, eh nag-daydream lang ako kanina sa subject na yan. Seriously, our teacher monotonously explained economics. It was so boring na sigurado akong hindi na gaganda pa ang economy ng Pilipinas dahil sa teacher namin na nagtuturo ng subject na yan in a sooo dull manner.

Pero...

At least, this day ended na hindi lang si Gian ang nakinabang. Hehe. Syempre ako din! Hahaha. Ang cafeteria na ang magiging favorite place ko sa school!!! Chos!
