Astrid's Pov
Everything happened so fast.
4 hours earlier
We were on another dragon hunter mission. I wasn't paying attention and Ryker shot an arrow towards me.
"Astrid! Watch out!" I hear Hiccup scream as the arrow is coming towards me.
"Stormfly spine shot," I yell but before I knew it Hiccup was flying infront of the arrow, both the arrow and the spine shot sticking through his stomach.
"HICCUP!!" I yell as I see the blood and him falling off of the saddle into the water below.
"Snotlout, grab Toothless I'm going after Hiccup," I command.
I dive in the water with Stormfly and pull Hiccup back up. I check his heartbeat a know immediately we need to get back to the Edge quickly if Hiccup is going to survive. There's blood on my hands. Hiccup's blood.
Hiccup's Pov
The arrow was heading straight towards Astrid and I couldn't do anything, so I got in the way of it and felt it hit my stomach. I then feel something pierce my back. My body hurts and my vision is blurring from the pain. I fall off of the saddle and start heading towards the ocean. Everything goes black as I feel the ice water around me.
Astrid's Pov
I flew back to the Edge as quickly as I could and laid him in hut. Fishlegs came up to me.
"We're gonna need to take both out. It's gonna hurt so we need everyone to hold him." I nod. Everyone holds him down as Toothless lay his head on his chest and Fishlegs was getting ready to pull the arrow and the Deadly Nadder Spine out of him. As soon as Fishlegs started tugging, Hiccup started painfully screaming.
"AAAAAAHHHH," he kept trying to move and his screams broke my heart. After both were out he passed out.
"Twins go back to Berk to get Gothi, Stoick, and Gobber and tell them what happened," the twins quickly nod and leave on Barf and Belch.
Present Time
I was siting next to Hiccup, my hands in his hand. I move his bangs and kiss his head.
"You gotta wake up Hiccup. I need you," I soon heard a groan and Toothless and I perked up.
"A-astrid?" He stutters quietly.
"Yes Hiccup I'm here," I start to get up to get the rest of the gang
"N-no s-stay," I hear him say out and grab my hand.
"Of course. I'm not going anywhere dragon boy," and kiss him on the head again as he passes out for a second time.
