Chapter 2: The Road to California

Lucy's P.O.V
We all sit down in the car, ready to make our way to the Airport.Holly is sat a seat away from me with headphones in listening to music, she is rocking back and forth in her own world. I grab my phone, and plug in my head phones, and put on my Ariana Grande playlist. I look out the window and watch the other cars on the motorway speed a head of us, I look out the rain going down the window, as it starts to downpour, typical British weather I think to myself. I snuggle down into my Hoodie and slowly fall asleep as we make it further and further away from home moving towards airport and the future.

Holly's P.O.V
I look across at Lucy and she has fallen asleep,I squeal with excitement as Attention by Charlie Puth comes on my phone.I see the airport and loads of people making their way inside.I look at my phone the time is 7:00pm at night.We get out of the car and take my earphones out,and look round in excitement (NOT).I prod Lucy and tell her to wake up."come on,you've got to wake up" I say shouting at her.We all walk in lugging our suitcases into the main  entrance.

I sit down on the nearest bench and get my phone,plugging in my headphones.I quickly open up YouTube and gesture for Lucy to sit down next to me."What are you doing" Lucy says looking down at my phone."I'm going to watch Devan and Collins Key obviously while we have time" I say waving my hand.After a while Lucy puts down her suitcase and starts to watch it with me.We laugh at their silliness."If only we could meet them" I said looking at my sister."Yeah it would be cool" Lucy said.Even though we dreamed of meeting all the you tubers  it was really not going to happen,but we could pretend anyway.

I put away my phone as I see mum and dad coming towards us with the suitcases."Ok ready to check in" dad says looking at me and Lucy.Be both nod our heads.I feel a bit homesick already and I haven't even left the country yet.We walk over to join the queue for putting in our luggage.Me and Lucy stare at each other while mum and dad plan everything with their paperwork in front of us.

Eventually we make it to the front desk after ages of waiting and put our suitcases into the check in point.

* A few hours later *

I look out the window at the clouds, we are nearly in California,I started to get nervous and excited at the same time due to that I feel the urge to puke every five minutes,But probably more excited.Finally after hours of waiting we have landed in California.

Lucy's P.O.V

We have landed,and I can't contain my excitement.As we step outside into our new world,dragging our suitcases we see a city skyline and he humid air hits my face."Woah definitely a huge temperature change from England" I say laughing as I get more and more excited.
Mum gets us to all gather on a bench while she stands up.
"Ok,so here's the plan,we will first get to our house and unpack some clothes then we will go into to town for dinner" She looks at us with a promising face.Me and Holly grin at each other.

After we get our rent-a-car we drive to our house which is a 30 minute drive.To get around my dad will just buy a new car,next week so we can start looking round California.We pull up into a closed gate neighbourhood,the car finally stops outside a terraced cream house.With palm trees on the front lawn.
I get out the car and look around  the neighbourhood,"Now I am happy with this,so far" I say with my hands on my hips.Mum gets the keys and opens the front door.I sprint inside," I get first choice on my room,I shout" as I madly run up the stairs.I quickly find my room,I have no bed at the moment but the moving van is arriving in a few hours with all our furniture.

Holly walks in and looks at me."You chose this room because it was bigger didn't you?" She said laughing."yeah why wouldn't I!" I say smiling.
"And plus my room backs on to the garden" I say as I pull down my window to look outside.My eyes go all wide and I freeze for a moment,"What?" Holly says looking at me worried."Does our garden look bad" Holly says walking to the window.

I turn to look at her,my face pale."Cam someone explain me Collins key in walking around in next doors garden"
Holly looks at me her jaw has officially dropped.Holly rushed to the window and looks out and back in at me.

" I think they live next door!" She whispers looking at me.
