Chapter 6: Art class and Beach sunsets

Lucy's P.O.V

I walk into the art room with high hopes,I carrying all my paintbrushes and supplies in my handbag and all I know is that this art club is going to be great.Ten seconds after I walk into the room I could see Devan in the corner of the room behind a massive canvas setting out his paintbrushes ready to paint.I go as red as a tomato as he starts waving and gesturing for me to take the seat next to him.

I settle into the seat behind the big canvas getting my supplies out ready.I look at the teacher at the front of the room teaching us how to create different strokes with different brushes.As I settle down to paint Devan starts to poke me with his paintbrush to getting attention,I look at him waiting for him to say something. "Hi Lucy didn't know you came to this club" he says staring at me. "Yeah I decided I would come to improve myself at my art,at I thought it would fun to meet new people" I say glancing at him while continuing with my artwork. "Guess you're stuck with me again" He says laughing.I laugh with him.

Meanwhile on the Beach...
Holly's P.O.V

I walk along the golden sand beach taking in the amazing view but not as amazing as the one standing near the rocks throwing pebbles into the sea,of course it's Collins.He sees me across the beach and starts to walk towards me I put my hands my coat pockets as he slowly comes closer.
"Hey" he says waving at me his key necklace shining in the sun. "I'm here to clear my head" I say looking up at him "Same" he says kicking the pebbles into the sea. "Where's Devan?" I say putting my hair behind my ear. "Oh,he's gone to this art club thing he goes every Saturday" Collins says taking in the view. "My sister starting going to that as well" I say surprised. "Cool" he says he pauses for a moment while the silence lingers between us. "I guess you've never been to the boardwalk have you?" He asks. "No,but I'd like to go" I say smiling at him.

Before I know it I'm on the boardwalk hanging out eating candy floss bigger than me with Collins Key never would I thought this would happen in a million years.I take another bite from my candy floss as the wind blows my hair in my face.

After five minutes me and Collins decide to go for ride on the Ferris wheel.We stand in the queue waiting for the next ride, "How much are the tickets?" I say looking at the man controlling the ride. "$2 dollars per person" he says smiling.I hand him the $2 and Collins does too.We position ourselves in the cart ready for the ride to start.All of a sudden the ride starts to move.I start to get anxious as I feel myself levitating into the air I see the people below me who look like little ants scrambling on the ground.We make it to the very top of the Ferris wheel and the entire sea stretches out beyond us.Collins starts to shake the cart as he starts to take pictures of the view.

I start to feel queasy and faint,he looks at me with concern,his blonde hair illuminated by the sun setting in the distance. "Are you ok?" He says looking at me. "Yeah just feel a bit faint,I'm scared of heights" I say as I look towards the ground scared of falling. "It's ok,here" he holds out his hand for me to hold it.It squeeze it tightly "Thank you" I say as we go back down and back to reality.

Meanwhile on the other side of town...
Lucy's P.O.V

We walk down the long row of houses towards our neighbourhood.Devan gets out his camera smiling. "The sunsets in California are always the best" He states taking a camera and taking a shot of the palm trees and sunset. "Yeah better than the ones in Britain" I say laughing.I take out my camera too and take the same picture. "Hey wanna take a selfie" He says jokingly "Sure why not?" I say posing next to him easy to take the photo.I sounded so causal about he situation but I was screaming inside I got to be in a selfie with Devan Key. "I'll send you the picture too" He says scrolling through his phone.

He gets out a piece of sketching paper with paint all over it and also a pencil.I walk alongside him as we get closer to our houses.He starts to write something on the piece of paper. "Here's my number you know so I can send you the photo so just add me" He explains. "Yeah I will" I say grinning with excitement.
"I'll see you later" he says as he goes into to his house.When he's gone I smile to myself about the day.I love my life.I go inside and wait for Holly to come home.

Over on the Beach...
Holly's P.O.V

In the corner of my eye I see Amelia and some other guy I don't know they start to approach me and Collins. "Hey I say to Amelia"
enthusiastically  as she gets closer. The guy with brown hair stands there looking at me. "Hi Joe"says Collins going up to him. "By the way this is my boyfriend Joe" Amelia says to me. "Joe?!" Amelia says to get his attention. "This is Holly,one of the twins that just moved in" Amelia explains to Joe. "Hi Holly" He says smiling at me.

After the long chat with Joe and Amelia me and Collins start to head home...

Lucy's P.O.V

I see Holly walking up to the door smiling from ear to ear.When she enters the room we both say simultaneously "I have big news",We both giggle. "Ok you go first" I say looking at Holly. "You wouldn't believe what happened...she explained all about her with Collins and the day out until this.And he held my hand Lucy"
"Well I've got Devan's number" I say looking at her.

After that we go to our rooms and I look out my bedroom to find Devan and Collins filming in their back garden I laugh at them as they run around like headless chickens for their fans entertainment and trust me I'm entertained.
