I looked at the time '11:55' dad should of been home over an hour ago. by 2pm I called him and it went to answer phone, I was about to try again and he rang me
"where are you?" I asked
"Switzerland airport"
"why haven't you guys left yet?"
"the flight is delayed"
"how long for?"
"don't know but definitely not leaving for the next 48 hours"
"why?"
"a volcano eruption in iceland"
"oh, so it could be ages"
"I don't know" after about 20 minutes I came off the phone and I went to make a sandwich and sat in the big lonely apartment by myself at first I was fine but by my birthday I started to get lonely and now I'm extremely lonely and I have no idea how long for and the fact janey isn't here either so it's only really kenneth and lez I can talk to, I go down and look for joyce to see if I can do anything around here even through I hate it when she asks me to do jobs around here but I'm that bored and everyone are busy and can't meet until later.
"joyce is there any jobs I can do?"
"nope you can just make the most of the suite for the next few days until your father gets home"
"do you know how lonely them suites get after a few days?"
"well yes I'm always the only one in my one but it's fun"
"you sure there is no jobs that needs doing?"
"I'm sure"
"cleaning?"
"ramona there is none"
"ok" I turned to leave
"are you ok?"
"yeah I'm fine" I lied and went back to the suite, I like joyce even through she can be annoying but she's alright in her own way but I don't feel comfortable opening up to her.
It's now been 5 days and they still aren't back and everytime I try calling dad or janey it goes to answer phone, I even tried calling the airport and and they were just useless. I was sat in the lobby hoping that they would walk in, everytime the door opened I'd get excited and it turns out not to be them.
"I guess you don't like the new jacket" mickey said sounding a little upset
"sorry it's not that, I love the jacket I just thought you would be dad"
"he's still not back?"
"no and their phones always goes to the answer phone I even called the airport but they was just useless"
"they'll be back soon"
"I hope so"
"omg have you heard about the plane" I heard liam say to joyce
"what plane?" joyce asked
"a plane tried to leave Switzerland but when they got some way from the airport the ash was too thick snd it crashed"
my heart stopped and I jumped up and ran over to them "where was the plane aiming to go?" I asked
"I don't know" liam answered
"well where did you hear about this?"
"I can't remember"
"well think for once in your life " I snapped and mickey came over
"I can't"
"well you-" I got interrupted by mickey pulling me away and took me to the suite "why did you do that?" I asked
"cause he don't know and it was probably going to uk or something"
"but it may not of been" I said through tears and I just slumped down in the couch and mickey sat next to me and hugged me, I cried even harder for about 10 minutes. I sit up and I call the airport again and they won't say who was on the plane they won't even say if there was any animals on the plane. "why are they so stupid over there" I shouted and slammed the phone on the space next to me.
"ri please calm down, they're safe I know it"
"how do you know, they haven't been in contact with anyone in spain and the airport is giving no information out" I shouted
"they wouldn't risk going on a tester flight"
"but they may of to get back quicker" I shouted then walked off to my room and layed on the bed with my head under the pillow just crying, mickey came in and sat next to and rubbed my back.
"ri please calm down I know you're upset but please I hate seeing you this angry it's actually scary"
I sat up and leaned against the wall "I'm sorry, I shouldn't take it out on you I don't mean it"
"it's ok I know you don't" mickey smiled a little and wiped my eyes
"I just want my dad" I said and more tears arrived "I can't lose him, I can't be alone and put in care and go to some stranger's house"
"you won't lose him" I hugged mickey and I eventually fell asleep.
