Chapter 4 : Deflated Ego

Ruth's POV

Nagising ako nang biglang may basang bagay ang dumapo sa pisngi ko. I opened my eyes to find a brown fluffy dog licking my face!

"What the ---", I stood abruptly astonished by the sudden realization.

I was about to shoo it away when somebody held the dog's collar.

"Got ya! Don't scare me like that again Mon, bad Baby," sabi nito habang hinahaplos ang ulo ng aso.Dumapo ang tingin ko sa lalaking nasa harapan ko. Nasa 6ft o higit pa ang tangkad.Mayroon siyang jet-black hair na kumikinang sa tuwing nasisinagan ng araw at tila di man lang nililipad ng hangin sa ayos nito.Tsk, Bakla (A/N Inggit ka lang) Matangos ang kanyang ilong at ang kanyang mga labi, nangungusap...but that's not what held my eyes captive.It's his eyes.These are deep sea-ocean pools ready to drown you.Something about him reminds me of  him---no ,no ,no don't compare him. He's out of my league.

"What are you looking at?" A sudden arrogance filled the air which took me out of my little trance.

Tinignan ko siya nang blangko and said ," Nothing of  relevance. "

Napanganga siya. Pagkuwa'y nakabawi din siya sa gulat at biglang ngumisi.Tinitigan niya ako mula ulo hanggang paa.

"Miss, alam Kong may itsura ako so no need to stare.As a gentleman,I can share what the good goddesses have blessed me," he said consistently without even blinking.How can men carry such ego? I bet they're overworking too much that they think highly of themselves.

"Lahat may itsura," I said shaking my head in disbelief. "Baka gusto mong palobohin muna payatot mong katawan bago bumuga ng hangin." Ani ko Sabay bulsa ng kamay sa parehong bulsa ng maluwang Kong pantalon.

"Excuse me?," he uttered with a feign of sarcasm but loaded with disbelief.

"You're excused," I stared at him with my infamous blank eyes indicating my serious remark.

Shock and frustration is written all over his face as I passed by him calmly.If I know he's making inner tantrums now for deflating his male ego. Men and their Pride.Tsk

Johnny's POV

I stood there at the middle of the playground as I keep on replaying the words she said.

Baka gusto mong palobohin muna payatot mong katawan bago bumuga ng hangin

Ha!? Nararamdaman ko na ang unti unting pagbalik ng kulay sa aking mukha pero napalitan din ito ng sobrang dugo dahilan upang magmukha na akong steamer.I can imagine my ears and nose releasing smoke right now.

And payatot? That's the least thing I could think to describe myself! I know that I do not have that eight-pack abs that women swoon over but I do have a good body. Hindi ako tambay sa gym pero I know that Hindi ako slender.I gritted my teeth out of frustration.

What is she? She's not a woman! She's an infuriating blind and nasty human who has no taste. Doesn't she know me? Hindi ako makapaniwala.

For the record, I was left speechless while I watch her retreating back. Hindi kayang pulutin ng utak ko ang nangyare kanina.The Great Johnny was treated like shi---Oh no sorry Mom I didn't say that bad word, swear! ----poop!

"Did you see that?!," I chewed my inner cheek as I began to process how she rubbed her words off my face. That bitc--- no no no I mean to say human! Magbabayad siya.

"She's nonsense, right Mon?," I said more to myself because my baby  was already walking out of me wagging his tail off my face.

I heard a scowl and looked around to find no dog around.I raised my right hand to my mouth and realized it came from me.How'd did I do that?
