As they start to have lunch, Austin literally moans at the taste of the steak. “This is so good” Alan laughs and turns to Monami and asks “Why are things so tense with you and the capos yet with everyone in the business quarters, you're very relaxed?”
Monami tenses and turns back to her cold self, Alan knows now that he shouldn't have brought it up.
“Soldiers and capos die easily. Simple as that, if I don't get attached, I can burn the bodies and trash the ashes. If I get attached I have a shit ton of funerals to pay for. Fires free”
Alan seems a bit uncomfortable with the information he just received.
“So Austin, how long have you and Alan been married for?”
Austin starts choking on his food as Alan's face turns seven shades of pink.
“Wh-What?” Austin asks once he's calmed his coughing. Monami smirks and says “I see the tan lines on both of your guys' hands. Besides Alan signs his name ‘Alan Carlile’ on his paychecks”
Austin looks over at Alan and smiles shyly “For about three years now”
“Awe” Monami coos before saying “That's wonderful. I'm sorry I took him from you for a while but I am more sorry that I'm going to lose the best hacker in the business” Alan seems proud of that title.
“What do you mean ‘lose’ ?” Austin questions. “I'm letting you both go free” Austin feels torn about it, yes he is happy to go home with his husband to their makeshift family in the gang but he's gonna miss Monami, he just got her back.
“That's great! Isn't it, babe?” Alan asks.
Austin perks up and says “Of course it is, My Love” Monami smiles at the sight. She's happy that Austin was able to find happiness.
Someone knocks on the door, and they all tense up. Vic walks in and says “uh.. Excuse me, Lady Monami”
She nods once and says “Come in” He smiles a tight, awkward smile. “I just wanted to let you know that Alex, Jack and Jaime have came back from deliveries and we have tripled our budget from last week”
Austin's eyes go wide while Monami looks bored. “That's all? Well. We can work with it. Thank you, ...Dynamite” She pauses for a moment before using the nickname stiffly. Vic feels slightly better. That was her way of saying she's not as pissed but he is still in trouble. He waves stiffly before walking out.
Soon after, Austin and Alan went off to pack Alan's things. Monami went off to her office. Once she got inside and turned on the lights, she saw her capos and soldiers sitting in the chairs with Dynamite.
“What the Hell is going on?”
Monami asks, being almost startled by the sight.
Jaime speaks up and says “Since we're all a part of this gang, I think we have a right to meet that friend of yours”
