“May I ask why you're following us?” Kellin asked, he wasn't sure before but now he was 100% sure. It's the same brown haired guy with tattoos that seems to be everywhere he and Angel go.

“W-What?” The guy stutters. Angel feels like she's going to die of embarrassment. Kellin what are you doing?! She thinks to herself.

“You are literally everywhere we go. For the past month or so, I've even seen you outside our apartment. So I wanna know… Why are you following us” Kellin was getting his sass on, Angel could tell from a few feet away because he had his hip out all sassily.

“I'm sorry, it's just uh.. You see.. Uh well. Okay the truth is I know your friend over there but she doesn't remember me and I missed her like crazy so I follow her sometimes and check up on her” Austin finally just told the truth.

Kellin’s eyes lit up like a christmas tree, “Wait here, don’t go anywhere!” Austin thought about bolting, until he saw Kellin dragging Monami or Angel over to the car. “Kellin what are you doing?” She complained.

Austin knew as soon as he heard her voice, it was her. “Shhh just listen. Okay creepy stalker dude, what was your name?” Austin laughed, which triggered something in Angels mind. “Austin. I’m Austin Carlile” He didn’t know why he wasn’t lying to them, it was dangerous. What if they called the cops?

But Angel looked at him, a confused look on her face. “I knew you.. Before… Didn’t I?” Austin’s face lit up, “You recognize me?” Angel shrugged and said “Your laugh.. Sounds so familiar but like I haven’t heard it in a long time” Austin smiled and said “Because you haven’t… Monami.” It was risky, but he had to try.

Angels eyes went wide, Kellin was confused. “You… Know who I uh.. Who I.. Was before?” Angel asked, Austin nodded. “Kellin, get the car. Austin please follow us back to our apartment” Kellin looked confused but did as he was told.

Within 20 minutes, they were all sitting at Angel and Kellin’s kitchen island. Drinking coffee and talking. Angel told Austin about her new life and Austin tried to decide if he really should tell her about her past.

It could ruin her new life.. “Austin” He looked up at the girl, she looked so… Normal. “Please tell me who saved me” Angel looked so haunted all of the sudden. Like she had been tortured by the unknown and she had.

“Tony” Is all he said, seeing if it would bring anything back. Nothing.

“Vic” He said again, still nothing.

“Mike” He continuously named off all the men in her old gang. Nothing. Then he remembered she never called them by their first names.

“Perry, Dynamite, Fuentes, Gaskarth, Barakat, Sykes..” Austin named off the ones he knew of that she called special names or their last names.

“Wait.. I know one of those…. Perry. It sounds familiar. So does Fuentes” Angel said, looking down at the island. The girl’s mind was racing a hundred miles a minute.

“I’m not 100 percent certain because I wasn’t there until later but I’m pretty sure Tony or Perry as you called him, since you called most of them by their last names, was the one to find you after….” Austin’s voice trailed off and Angel subconsciously ran her fingers over the scar on her torso.

“Tony Perry..” She whispered. She finally had the name of the man who saved her..

“What about the long haired man? The one I left when I got in that car a year ago.. I can’t remember anything else before or after that”

Austin smiled, “That’s Vic Fuentes, you called him Dynamite. His younger brother Mike, you called Fuentes. You never called them by their first names”

Angel looked at him, puzzled. “Why not?”

This was the part that Austin was reluctant about. Opening up the cruel and nasty past the poor girl forgot she lived.

“You were trained to do that, so that you wouldn’t develop feelings for them. It was beat into you from a young age. Your parents were very harsh and they went as far as torture to make sure you’d never have feelings.

They made you a cold hearted leader. One to never cry or care when the lives of young men were gunned down in the name of your gang. It was hard on you because you were such a loving and caring girl. We were friends at a young age. You lost the love of your life because of my parents, who got mad because I was jealous of your love for him. I have never found out where he was taken to, and it’s been 12 years now. Your parents died not long after mine took him, both our parents died because of my stupid teenage jealousy”

Austin hated admitting this, but it was the truth. Angel stood and hugged him, whispering “It was not your fault.. They chose to do what they did. Not you, please don’t blame yourself Austin”

He hugged her tightly, missing this. Even if she didn’t remember him, it was still nice to pretend, even for a second. They pulled away and she sat back down.

“Wait, wait, wait. So you're saying that Angel… My Angel, was a cold hearted, badass, gang ruler named Monami?” Kellin seemed to be keeping up pretty well.

“Exactly. But her name wasn't Angel, it was Monami Cornelly” Angels perked up at the name. “Wait.. I've heard that before. In one of my… Dreams” Kellin smiled sadly at Angel and held her hand for comfort. Austin felt uncomfortable.

“The man who saved me, this Tony you said. He kept yelling it when he was trying to save me” Austin smiled, she was remembering.

“Maybe I could have some of them come visit, see if they trigger anything in your little mind” Austin offers, wiggling his finger towards Angel's forehead. She giggled and said “Sure but.. Only if they aren't gonna bring trouble. I've been safe here, I don't want that to change”

Kellin stood up and asked “Can I speak with you for a moment?” Austin nodded and they left the room. Angel knew what it was, Kellin was going to give Austin the ‘You hurt her and I will kill you’ speech.

“I know you're trying to help her, but if I find out you're lying or that you're doing any of this for the wrong reasons, I won't hesitate to kill you” Kellin warned, Austin knew he was serious so he bit back the laugh he wanted to let loose.

“I promise you. Everything I tell her is truth to my knowledge, if I later find out any different then I will definitely tell her my mistake” Austin promised, Kellin just gave him a look before going back and sitting down with Angel again.

Austin didn't follow, he instead pulled out his phone and called Vic.
