-Marco's POV-
Tonight was the night of the dance. Star already said yes to Tom and she still won't talk to me. I should try to apologize to Star again.
I walk over to the girl's room and knock on the door. Janna opened the door. She was wearing A army green dress with spaghetti straps. She also had army green flats and a black beanie. She wore maroon lipstick and black eyeliner. She looked like she was going to a punk prom.
"What's up, Diaz. Why aren't you dressed?" Janna asked.
"I'm not dressed because I don't think I should go."
"What! You have to go!" Janna shouted, startling me. What's her problem?
"Why?" I leaned up against the wall.
"Um, because I don't want to hang around Star and Tom like a third wheel. We could totally hang out there." She walked into her room and grabbed a black clutch purse off her nightstand.
"I guess we could, but why don't hang with Ingrid?"
"She's not going. She's busy decapitating dolls or something." Janna sat down on her bed.
"I guess I could go. Where's Star?"
"In the bathroom fixing her makeup, why?" Janna asked, giving her evil grin.
"I came to apologize, again."
"Yeah. Good luck with that. I'll be in the hall waiting for you guys to talk." Just as Janna walked out, Star came in. She wore a short pink dress with one strap held by a pink heart. The bottom had pink hearts and white lace. She also had white boots and gloves. Her hair was in a large bun with her devil horns on top. She looked...amazing.
"H-hey, Star."
"What do you want?" Her good mood washed off her face.
"Well, even though you probably won't accept, I wanted to apologize again. I'm really sorry about the whole thing. I guess I'm the crazy one. If I were you, I wouldn't forgive me either." I apologized. Star's face didn't soften. I realized she wasn't going to forgive me. I started to walk out, when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Wait, Marco. I'm sorry." Star said softly.
"For what?" I turned around.
"For not giving you a chance. I understand that know one here has been to a different dimension or dealt with magic before. You were confused. I'm really sorry, Marco. If you want to be friends, that would be great." Star gave a warm smile.
"Why are you apologizing? You've made like a hundred friends in two days, I they seem to not care that you have magic. If I was in your shoes I would—"
She cut me off. "But your not. Everyone does stupid things once in a while. If you hold a grudge, you'll end up no where. As long as you made an effort, it's okay."
"Can we be friends?" I gave a smile.
"Of course! Hugs!" She gave me a huge hug. "Go get dressed!"
"Okay." I started to walk out, when I heard a ring.
"Sorry, I have to take this." Star picked up something that looked like a compact mirror. She clicked the mirror and a lady with blue heart shaped hair. "Hi mom." Star moaned.
"I'll get used to this." I laughed and walked out of the room.
