We finally finish the game (of course my team won) and we decide to get something to eat. We find the In-N-Out where I first met the boys and decide to eat there. We find parking spots and whoop and hollar as we walk in. We get in line to order and sit down once we get our food.
"Hey Mia!" I hear a man call. I look around for the source and gasp when I see who it is. I sit there frozen looking at him as he smiles at me with his arms wide open.
"CHARLIE!!!!!" I yell out as I run into his arms. He laughs when we almost fall over and hugs me tightly.
Charlie, my childhood friend, neighbor, first kiss, first date, first boyfriend is basically my #1 best friend (right behind Andrea). He's been with me for my whole life and when I heard he was moving to Australia I was completely devastated. I guess his family came back for vacation.
"I missed you Charlie!" He smiles at me, showing off his deep dimples and puts his arm around my shoulder, walking over to my table.
"I missed you too Mia. It's been so long!" I nod and I sit down with him next to me. I start eating and we start going down memory lane, remembering all the promises and embarrassing moments we had.
"Remember when you and Jack tried to climb that tree and you fell and we thought you were gonna die?" I say before we both burst out into laughter. Jack was Charlie's best friend and practically his brother.
"Remember when Jack and I would fight to the death to try and win your heart? Jack always won, and his prize was always a kiss on the cheek. What a lucky guy." I giggle.
"Well you got my first kiss! Doesn't that make up for all the 'kisses' I gave to Jack ?" He thinks about it, stroking his imaginary beard and shrugs.
"I guess." It gets silent for a second and we both stare at each other.
"I missed you Mia." Charlie says quietly, still staring at me.
"I missed you too Charles." My voice barely a whisper. The boys finally come back from wherever they were and freeze when they see how close Charlie and I are. I blush and scoot away from Charlie. I stand up and pull Charlie up with me.
"Um, Charlie this is Richard, Christopher, Zabdiel, Erick, and Joel," I say pointing at them as I say their names," Guys, this is Charlie. My best friend."
"Charlie Rodriguez!" I hear Andrea say. Oh no I say to myself. She walks over to him and stops in front of him. She puts her hand up as if she's going to slap him but puts it back down.
"Do it." He says. "I deserve it." With that she brings her hand up and slaps him across the face. I gasp and push her away from him.
"Andrea! Calm down!" Her face was red with anger and I looked back at Charlie. His face was red and you could see Andrea's hand print on his cheek.
"YOU RUINED MY LIFE! I HAD NO FRIENDS BECAUSE OF YOU! I HATE YOU CHARLIE!" Andrea yells at him. I see tears rolling down her face and hug her she calms down and puts her face on my shoulder. Richard walks over to us and embraces her. I let go of her and walk over to Charlie.
"I-i think you need to leave..." My voice barely a whisper. He nods and walks out.
"What just happened?" Joel says completely confused.
"A lot just happened." I sigh.
