Redamancy

Chapter 2

So after orientation was done we headed out to where the clubs were set up and surveyed each of them.

"Dance club for me." said Yuki.

"I'm definitely joining the football club. How about you guys?" questioned Nate.

I replied saying that I'll be joining the athletics club. We headed towards our respective clubs and began signing up for them, followed by club tryouts. I was quite fast compared to the others and the seniors were impressed with my time so getting in was a cake walk. I watched the others race and being chosen. Soon after we had a club meeting where we were explained about the timings and that there were competitions we had to prepare for. I was eagerly waiting for it to get over as I was getting hungry.

After what seemed like 5 hours we were left so I headed straight to the dining hall and saw Nate and Yuki seated with tons of different stuff.

"I'm starving!" I said while picking up something from Nate's plate and popping it into my mouth. I didn't even care to check what it was.

"How was it?" Yuki asked. "I got in and Nate has to try out again tomorrow." she added.

"Oh piece of cake!" I laughed and went to grab some food. I spotted the last slice of pizza and ran to grab it when I felt someone else eyeing it too. I look up to the person and he looked familiar. "Oh hey its creeping guy."

"What?" he questioned rather confused.

"You were the one sneaking into the girl's dorm this morning."

"Oh, so it was you. Did you tell anybody?

"I might keep shut if you let me have this slice of pizza." I said and shot him a wink.

"But Hawaiian is my favourite type!" he hesitated.

"Well what do you know we have something in common." I snickered. "I'm kidding, you can have it. I won't tell a soul" and gave a reassuring smile.

"I'm counting on you." He smiled and waved as he left with the pizza.

Lucky for me the cook just put out a fresh batch of pizza slices and I helped myself. We stuffed ourselves with the delicious food and wondered what to do after this since we had the whole day to ourselves.

"How about we go for a movie? We could go to the mall, I need to pick up a few things. It'll be fun! Plus we could explore around." Yuki chimed in rather enthusiastically.

"Yes! Let's go, dinner is on me." I added.

The both of us looked at Nate for his opinion to find him staring at something, or someone rather. We followed his line of sight and landed up on this blond haired girl who seemed like a sweet thing. She had a cute face and was sitting right next to a girl with red hair who was doing crazy hand gestures explaining something to her. Yuki looked at me and smirked.

"Hey lover-boy, see something you like? Yuki asked, her face full of mischief.

He was embarrassed and stammered out a 'No'.

"Her name is Phoenix. She's in dance club with me." Yuki added.

"Phoenix." He muttered under his breath and I could have sworn I spotted a little blush on his cheeks.

We got up to head over to the dorm and get dressed and decided that we'd meet in about half an hour near the gate. I quickly freshened up, put on a little makeup and changed into a checkered shirt and black jeans. I packed my side bag with whatever I felt necessary and waited for Yuki who was in a dilemma over what to wear. I helped her choose something and we took off happily and exited about this outing.
