Everything was finally resolved between Yuki and that girl, she reverted back to her happy self and Nate and I were so happy. We tried to cheer her up whole Sunday by taking her out and treating her to her favourite food. I spent as much time as I could talking to her and seeing if she's doing well.
It was finally Monday! Most people dread Mondays but here I was, the most excited for it. The driving force being Jake. Classes passed by so slowly, I was so impatient, waiting for the last second of the last class to tick by so I could meet up with him.
We were done, at last. I hurried out of the class and into the spare classroom waiting for Jake, wondering why I'm so excited to just do the report with him. He walked into the classroom and I waved out to him.
"Tiff!" he exclaimed and gave me a hug. I hugged him back. "So we need to submit this by Friday right? We have a lot of time."
"Yes, we do and we could finish it in a day I bet," I replied.
"Anyway, I've got lots to tell you," he says as we take a seat. "I've been talking to Mika a lot and she's so sweet!" I instantly feel my heart sink into the depths of the sea. "Oh, and there's one thing I want to show you." he removes a book from his bag. "I've been working on it and I wanted to know how it is from you."
He drew Eren and Levi and I was awe-struck. "I love it" is all I could say because I was so stunned by his work. He looked happy hearing that.
"Here, you can have it." he tears the page and hands it to me. "You and Nick are the only ones I ever showed my drawings to. You seem to love them so much and I'm not comfortable sharing it with anyone else." I'll admit I was flattered hearing that, knowing I was the only one apart from his best friend to see them, not even Mika!
"I think they're really good and I love seeing you put your best into them. It makes me happy." I smiled.
"Thanks," he said and I think I spotted a blush if I'm not mistaken. Cute. "I can't wait for season 3."
And just like that, we connected. We began talking about anime, songs, food, travel and anything you could think of! We had so much in common and I felt closer to him. We laughed and joked about the weirdest things. I could tell him anything and he wouldn't think I'm weird.
Everything was going so smoothly and blissful until...
"Hey Jake!" our alone time came to a halt by yours truly. "I've been searching for you!" Mika grinned and walked up to us.
"Hey Mika, just doing our trip report- oh my god, I'm late to my club. Gotta go! See you tomorrow Tiff!" with that, he walked out with Mika before she looked at me and gave a sort of... disgusted look?? I sat there confused. 'Hmm, maybe it's just her face' I thought. I left to go to the dorm since my club had a few competitions and weren't there to practice with us.

The week passed by quickly, the same blissful after class time with Jake till Mika interrupts. Nevertheless, I was glad to have some time with him. Occasionally he would tell me something about Mika, but it was all good, right until we realized it was Thursday and all we did was bond and talk about the most random stuff there is. We rushed with our report and made sure it was done well and sighed in relief when we were finally done. I was happy it was done but it saddened me to think that the only time I got to spend with him was over.
The next day we submitted the report. "We actually finished that in just one hour. We make a good team." He said.
"I know right? Hey, since we have math and physics you want to study together for the exams?"
"Oh yeah, that'd be a good idea, I could really use some help with physics," he replied and I was overjoyed to hear that he accepted. "Could I get Nick too? He has some difficulty with it as well."
"Sure! And I have my friends who need help too. We'll decide a time."
"Sounds good! Bye Tiff!"
Our exams were approaching and I was getting nervous about them. Luckily I had a lot of help from everyone as we decided to study together. We gathered in my room and snuck Jake, Nick and Nate inside.
Yuki kept nudging me with her elbow and I figured why. She was more excited than I was to study with Jake. I tried to ignore her and concentrate on solving math sums. We were all helping each other with difficulties. I was racking my brain along with Jake when all of a sudden, I hear a voice all too familiar. Mika.
"Jake? What're you doing here?" she questioned with surprise.
I felt bothered for some reason but tried to continue with my work.
"We're just studying together. Want to join?" he asked.
'Oh gosh, no.' I thought. She along with Lucy joined us. I looked at Yuki who seemed flustered, I didn't think much of it.
With that, we continued studying and helping each other and oh, of course, Mika, who tried flirting with Jake and gave me threatening looks and I don't even know why? Like how is no one else seeing this? I decided to get some air so I got up to head outside.
"I'm coming too!" hearing that from Jake lit up my mood.
"Aw no! I need some more help with these sums, please help me!" she said with the phoniest smile ever.
'Please don't say yes'
"Um, okay sure," he answered.
Ugh. I walked out followed by Yuki behind me. "Just admit it, you like him," she stated when we were out on the lawn.
"No," I said while diverting my eyes.
"Yeah, I so believe you." she answered.
"Why were you so flustered earlier?" I asked, trying to change the topic.
"Me? Flustered? Pssh! Never!"
"Yeah, I so believe you," I answered, imitating her.
"Alright, alright. I just thought that the girl with Mika was cute. She seemed sweet."
"Wait, you like Lucy?!" she seemed rather shy and we laughed it off.
After about fifteen minutes, we headed back inside to get some work done.
The next week was full of all nighters, many litres of coffee, running around for notes and a lack of any entertainment. We were geared up for our dreaded mock exams. Nevertheless, we were confident enough for it.
