E.
Harry didn't text me like he said he would. In fact, he hadn't kept in touch with me for another week. It felt so weird not having him in the diner. But, like he said, it's not like it matters.
And I agree. We only became friends a month ago. I know we shouldn't have to stay in touch 24/7, but I'd still like a text or a call every now and then.
Today is my day off, so I stay at home. I don't have money to go out and be doing things. Instead, I sit on the floor with Bean in my lap, listening to some music.
Boring, I know.
A knock on the door causes me to jump. I scrunch my brows and pick up Bean which causes him to meow. I smile at him and pat him as I climb to my feet.
I saunter to the door, unlock it, and swing it open.
He lifts his head until his eyes meet mine. Like fire, they burn into mine.
He pushes me inside and shoves me against the wall, his lips attaching to my neck. "H-Harry," I breathe, closing my eyes. "What are you doing?"
"Shh," he hisses as he brings his lips against my jaw. I hum in pleasure. "Emery?" Harry stops. "Emery." He repeats.
I blink my eyes furiously and look at Harry who is still standing on the porch, his brow raised. "Uh-hey." I greet, clearing my throat. I shift from one foot to another.
"Are you okay?" He asks with a chuckle. "You look flushed."
I shake my head and let out a nervous laugh. "I-I'm fine. Yeah, yeah." I change the subject. "You've been gone...again." I point out.
He nods. "I know, I know. I'm sorry. I should've told you."
"No, no. It's fine. You're here now." I smile, placing my hand on his arm. He looks down at my hand and I quickly snatch it away.
"I'm here now." He smiles, dipping his head down slightly.
I frown slightly. "You can't keep dissapearing and reappearing, Harry."
He curls his lip and nods slowly. "I know, it's just-"
"I don't want excuses, Harry. Either you want to be friends or you don't." I sigh and he becomes quiet. "Do you want to come inside?" I shift slightly so he has room to walk in.
"I don't want to bother..." He chews his lip, kicking the concrete of the porch.
"Just come in." I roll my eyes and tug his sleeve. He grins and obliges, walking past me.
"Beautiful home." He compliments. I scoff and shut the door, following him into the living room.
"I don't like liars." I joke, shoving him lightly.
"Is that a kitty?" He asks, his face glowing with joy. He bends down and scoops Bean into his arms, holding him like a baby. He cradles Bean and starts to kiss him all over his face.
"Uh. Harry. Ya done yet?" I ask with a small laugh.
He shakes his head and pets Bean's belly. I can hear him purr from where I'm standing. "No."
"Are you hungry?" I ask, heading into the kitchen.
Harry drops Bean on the floor and follows me. "Yeah, I could eat." I open the cabinet to find five packs of ramen noodles left. "Matter of fact-I could eat later."
I sigh. "Yeah. I know. I'm poor as fuck."
Harry chuckles and sits on the counter, swinging his feet back and forth. "We all start somewhere, love."
"I guess so." I say with a groan, shoving the cabinet closed. "I'm so stressed."
"You're cute when you're stressed." Harry murmurs. I pause and turn to him.
"Huh?"
He clears his throat, scratching his arm. "Uh. I didn't say anything."
"I think you did." I tease, standing between his legs with my hands outside both of his thighs. I realise what I'm doing and let out a shaky breath, pushing away. "Sorry. That was very innapropriate."
I turn around and face the sink, watching out the window when a pair of arms wrap around my waist. My skin tingles at his touch. I swallow harshly and close my eyes.
"I can't." I slide out of his grasp, biting my lip. "We can't."
His expression drops. "I'm sorry. I should go."
He strides towards the door and before I can call him back, he's already dissapeared.
