Time has taken its sweet time
And moves as it pleasesIt makes the best moments short
And hard ones too longIt guarantees you
That you'll never have enoughBut when I look back on it
I only see the wasted momentsI witness my regrets
And time simply goes onIt doesn't stop and wait
It just keeps its own agendaTime doesn't care
How we choose to spend itIt just makes life fly by
It is the people that steal it from usThe end isn't what's terrifying
It's the fact that we've wasted it allThat you had no impact
On anything at allIt is the thought of being forgotten
And nobody missing youIt is leaving this world
With no trace of you being hereTime moves as it wants
You'll never have enough, dearIt doesn't matter who you effect
So long as you feel like you livedThere is nothing we can do
To stop the fact that we waste itWe live in haste and can't relive it
We can't go backTime isn't stalling
But we watch from afarA world turns rapidly
But we remain as we areWe don't fly off in to the fray
Or off in gentle breezesAs time continues to do
Whatever it pleases
