Is there such a place
That we can belongShe doesn't fit anywhere
And it's hard to be strongShe wants a place to be herself
And people to accept itMaybe she only needs one
She just wants you to accept herShe's surrounded yet alone
Because nobody listensThey only see with their eyes
And can't read behind the liesIt's ok, it's alright
Because we don't see your plightTake no notice of this girl
Who has irrational frightShe is unreasonable
And doesn't careShe is cut off from the world
So why do they stare?I get it, I do
You want somebody to blameYou can't accept her
And will put out the flameJust because she is different
And can't be readLet's ignore her words
And tear her down insteadShe's misunderstood
And would change if she couldBut she is fine this way
And fine aloneAnd she will remain this way
Until that dayBecause she is not changing
And looking for a place to belongAll she needs is one person
To make a differenceAnd notice the words
And the silence alikeAnd takes the bad along with good
And she can be understoodShe's alright being alone, yet...
still wants a place to call her own
