Chapter 14: Updated News

The next day, I am started to get even more uncomfortable around Rune. And it is still confusing the heck out of me and with all of these emotions going on with me. He acts so normal to me while I just started feeling distant from him. I was trying act so natural and normal around him but I can't.

Just feeling his presence makes me nervous.

And he is not even doing anything!

Right now, he is at the farm so I'm all alone. Making me breath and think.

There is nothing to be nervous about in the first place! You're acting so weird, Jasmine. He is just your personal bodyguard and nothing more. Stop thinking delusional.

To wind up, I decided to go out of this house and roam around but not too far.

I made sure to close the gate well, though I believe that there are no robbers here or anything but security should always comes first.

I shiver due to the coldness of the morning breeze as they brush to my bare skin. And it was a huge mistake to leave only wearing a tank top and sweatpants but I can bare with it. The coldness of this place reminds of Forks in Washington. A friend of mine lives there so I come there from time to time. It's also a small place to stay. Only few people are living there so it's very peaceful. But St. Dominique is much smaller.

Going out makes me remember that there is a bakery nearby. I should probably buy some bread or something that is good for me. Even if I'm not working as a model right now, I still need to maintain my body with lots of energy in my system.

I was walking to the streets, I finally saw the bakery. It's a big one though and they sell a lot of breads. And I recognise the someone also buying something.

"Sarah." I called out.

She turned around and smiled immediately upon seeing me coming. "Hi, good morning."

"Good morning." I smiled softly at her as I examine some pastries to buy.

"What are you buying? Buying for yourself and Red?" She wondered as she took some bread rolls and paid it before placing it inside the basket she is carrying.

"Yep." I answered as I turn my head to her and saw that she is carrying a big basket that looks really heavy. "Can you carry that yourself?"

She let out a soft chuckle. "Of course, i am the one who is taking care of buying the groceries since Dad has bad legs so he can't walk around carrying heavy stuffs."

Her answer made me smile. She loves her Dad dearly, eh? Causing me to miss my Dad badly.

"What are you getting?" She asked me, referring to breads. "You've been staring at at them."

"I don't know." I laughed. "They all look delicious though."

"Want me to suggest?"

"Sure." I replied.

"Get these babies." She pointed out these kind of chocolatey puffs with some coconut flakes on top. "They are the best."

"Okay then, I trust you on this one." I smirked, and I did end up buying some and some wheat breads.

"By the way, I am going to pick up some fruits at the farm. You want to come? Your husband is there, right?"

I suddenly gulped when she said the word husband. Well, nothing is wrong to pay him a short visit, right? "Um...sure. Let's go."

"Alright then, off we go." She cheerfully chanted as we head to the farm. Rune will surely be surprise to see me coming and he would probably put it against me later at the house.
