Chapter 17: New Start of the Day

Rune and I are on our way back to the house. After we danced for like 20 minutes, we stopped and said goodbye to some people Rune knew. I also wanted to go home already but it is fine with me if we stayed a little longer.

Yohan took Sarah home as soon as she was separated from me when we were dancing. Rune replaced her in the process and that was the time he kissed me out of the blue. I didn't respond nor pushed him and that confuses me so much. I didn't have the will to stop it or respond to it.

Damn, this thought is killing me.

"You're making a disgusted face." Rune noticed me. Just a few more walks and we will already reach the house.

"I did not noticed." I murmured, biting my lower lip. "You always catch the smallest details that I do, Rune."

He responded with a laugh. "Well, that's the thing when you are always looking at someone. You notice the simple things."

Damn your words, Rune Crawford.

"Seriously, Rune...your actions is confusing me."

His eyebrows suddenly furrowed. "Confusing? What's confusing about my actions?"

The dumb question he did caused me to roll my eyes. I mean like, seriously? He is acting dumb because his smooth actions is getting obvious.

"You kissed me tonight, Rune. Not just ones, but twice. You kissed me two times in one fucking night. Then you kissed me before at my house. What are you trying to prove, huh? It confuses so much that I can't even bare to think straight sometimes." I rambled without even thinking anymore. The last part just rolled off my tongue without noticing. Fuck.

The look in Rune's hold just held straight and no changes in emotions.

Fuck. I knew it.

He is fooling me and testing me about something.

"Damn." I muttered under my breath. "You know what, Rune Crawford...please...just please just stay the hell away from me until it is a manner of need, or something about my security." I said, straight in his face and I was about to walk away when he decided to talk.

"You really are unpredictable, Jasmine."

My heart flips as I heard my name came out from him. This is the second time he called me by my name and I can't explain the sensation I am feeling inside me everytime I hear him like that.

"I know this is not the good time to say it but, here I go..." He breathe deeply before opening his mouth to say something again. "Ever since you were a little girl, the first day I came to work for you and your Father...I can't help myself but he drawn to you so quickly."

My mouth agape slightly as I hear him explain. Why is he telling me this now?

"I mean...you are living in the world of danger yet you maintain to keep that happy and cheerful. You were too young to be exposed in a world like that and your Dad gave me a strict instructions that I am allowed to talk to you. But your innocent smiles and laughs...I just can't ignore you and makes me always care for you." A hint smile appeared from him as he stopped in his tracks.

The moonlight was just enough for me to see his handsome face and I know he is looking at me.

"And for your question...I just don't know. I have given myself a mission that I will not let you just boss me around and let you live like a princess here but it was the first mission that I failed. I will let you boss me around and I will make you live like a queen. You just had me wrapped around you finger, my lady. And I can't even deny it." He confessed, coming closer to me.
