Another Lesson Learned
I didn’t speak at all the whole car ride to drop the boys off. I was in utter
Shock, I couldn’t believe what the doctor supposedly had said. Just the other
Day when I visited him he said he felt a lot better since the doctors treatment
Plan.
“What exactly did the doctors say?” I asked right as we pulled into the schools
Bus circle.
“You’re going to be late” My mom sighed.
“What? So you’re not going to tell me?” I was pissed she couldn’t drop a bombshell on me and then not explain.
“Honey, You’re going to be late” She said again
“No mom, school can wait, Now tell me what the doctor said!!!” I practically yelled.
“I’ll tell you” Mom said “After school”
I felt hopeless, I hated when she did this.
“You know a good person would have just told me but you, your no where
Close to a good person” I screamed grabbing my bag and getting out the car.
I slammed the door shut and walked into the building.

My mother was right I was late. I ran through the hall trying to quickly get to homeroom. Once my homeroom was insight I slowed down my pace. I slowly opened the door while Mrs. Walker was taking attendance.
“Ohh how nice of you to join us Miss. Bain” Mrs. Walker said with an evil look
In her eye. “I suppose you have a pass or this will be your third tardy this week
Which means a detention.” She said already knowing what my answer was.
“I don’t have a pass” I said with my teeth partly clenched
“Ok well you know what that means.”She said with a wicked smile.
I just walked silently to my seat. My best friend Sadie had a confused look on her face. Once we got out of class it wasn’t long before she caught up to me
“What was that, why didn’t you just tell her about your dad?” She said loudly
We found a table in the cafeteria and sat down
“I don’t think its anyone’s business and I don’t need a pity party hanging
Over my head” I say in a mumble
“Well what about Parker, he knows right?” Sadie asked
