Prologue.

"You did what now?" I laughed hysterically as I stared at my best friend.

He nodded and placed his head in his hands with a loud sigh before he mumbled, "Oh, fuck my life."

After my laughter died down I leaned back into the couch and became a little more serious. "Why in the world would you do that?"

He glared up at me, "I don't know man, I don't know why the fuck I said Sarah's name while fucking Stacy." He practically shouted, then stood up and began pacing the room.

"Dude, I told you, you're hitched. You're mad for Sarah." I said honestly just as my father walked into the living room.

"What's up bud, Nick why are you pacing?" He spoke as he sat beside me.

"Nick here," I nodded my head in Nick's direction, "said Sarah's name while he was fucking another girl."

"Holy fuck!" My dad busted out laughing.

"Language!" My mother shouted as she walked through the room.

"Sorry Mom." "Sorry honey." My dad and I said simultaneously.
"What the hell though Nick?" My dad's attention turned to him.

"Don't make me feel worse Mariano." Nick ran his hands through his hair and pulled on it.

My dad is my best friend and then Nick, he's so completely chill and awesome and yet he's a damn good parent. He's my ride or die, and I'm not afraid to say that. Nick and my other friends have been on a first name basis with my parents since forever, because they get along well and my parents are amazing.

My mom is my everything, noone can ever take her place, and I'm definitely not ashamed of admitting that. Fuck with my mother and among dad, Antonio, Adriana and I would kill you.

"Sorry, man." Dad said with a slight cough to cover up his laughter.

"Pops, come on now, don't laugh at his pain." I said. We then exchanged a look before we both started laughing again.

"What's so funny?" Toni walked into the living room and asked. He had just gotten home from school apparently.

"Nothing." Nick replied quickly, "This doesn't need to be stretched out any longer."

"What?" Toni inquired confused.

"How was school, Toni?" My dad questioned when his laughter died down.

"It was good, I got an A in English and a B+ in calculus." Toni said with a proud smile.

"Great job bro." "Good job buddy." Dad and I said simultaneously and we fist bumped him.

My siblings and I have always been good in school, we were included in the few that could pass a class without studying very hard. I've seen Toni and Adri's report cards and they're mostly A's. It was easy to be proud of them, since they were good in school and were good behaving kids for the most part.

For the most part.

"Toni, where's Adri?" I asked, interrupting the conversation the three were having.

"She went straight to her room, she's not in a good mood today." He informed us.

"Do you know why?" Dad questioned. Adri was dad and mom's little princess, because she was the only girl among us three, and she's technically the youngest since Toni was born 3 minutes before her.

"I'll go check on her." I said then stood up and headed upstairs.

When I reached her room, I knocked on the door and I heard her mumble something incoherent through the door.
