CHAPTER FOURTEEN: we have to find her body
-
MillieHow was it possible for a boy to look so beautiful while they slept?
The way his freckles cheeks looked sunken and prominent in the dusty light. His lips luscious? I blushed at the thought of calling them that, my hand subconsciously running through his many locks of curly Raven hair.
Finn Wolfhard was a beautiful boy.
My thumb brushed his cheek and I felt him stir for a second and his eyes eventually opened, a smile gracing his features.
"Were you watching me sleep?" His voice was groggy and a tingle ran all over my body at how attractive that sounded.
"Haha very funny," I said flatly instead, hitting him on the shoulder, not wanting him to know how nervous he made me. Finn just smirked and grabbed my hand tightly, pulling me over towards atop of him, our chests touching lightly.
"Let me go!" I said laughing.
He smirked further, "No! Hey- just look at me please?" And oh my god his lip puffed out like a child but I couldn't help but give in. "Ha!" Finn laughed again but this time more happily and soon he was just staring.
My chest stuttered "What...what is it?" I asked nervously, lips bitten.
"Nothing it's just..." he lifted his hand to my hair, tucking a piece before settling his thumb on my cheek. Could I swoon any harder?
He smiled softly continuing after a moment, "...I just love you so much. You know that Millie, right? I love you so much I can't breathe sometimes."
My eyes watered without realizing it at his kind words. I remember back when I was alive all I wanted was for a guy- a good guy at least to pay attention to me. Why did it have to take so long for it to finally happen is my problem.
"I love you too Finn. So much." I said and this time he brought me into a kiss.
It was magical.
God I sounded like such a sappy love sick teenager! I would have hated me if I were alive!
Finn's lips trailed over mine softly, a slow and happy pace and I smiled before deepening this kiss. I felt his breath catch and I couldn't help but smirk but, it soon slipped away as his mouth left mine and, in return fluttered at my cheeks softly then, my jaw and god.
I felt like I was warm.
I felt it all the way down to my toes and I couldn't get enough of it.
Finn pressed one last kiss to my neck before he finally pulled back, a heavy blush settled upon his cheeks and I laughed.
"Finnie why you're as red as a cherry," I teased.
"Oh shut up," he retorted playfully and I just snickered once more before a silence loomed over us after a bit.
I didn't like the silence. I had lived in it longer than I would have liked to.
