Chapter 6 *Rain*

Asher was tossing on bed. He couldn't sleep after Alvira ignored him during the function. After few minutes he decided to go and get some fresh air. He came walking near the window. After removing the curtains he realized that it was raining outside. Suddenly his eyes fell on the person who was responsible for his lack of sleep. Alvira was dancing in rain with her open arms. It was a filmy moment indeed. He took out his phone and captured her picture. Alvira indeed looked magical dancing in rain wearing the same dress she wore in the dholki.

He admired the picture for few minutes and then keeping his phone aside he decided to walk downstairs.

Alvira was enjoying the rain when she felt that someone was watching her. Her doubt was confirmed when she saw Asher standing near the door watching her. Alvira was taken aback. She first thought that she was dreaming but soon it got confirmed that Asher was there in reality when he stood exactly right beside her.

"What happened? Why did you stop? Don't you love rain?" He was the first one to start a conversation.

"Bas thak gai "(That's it, I am tired now ") Alvira replied.

Alvira then decided to sit on the floor and Asher too joined her .After a moment of silence Asher decided to talk to her.

"Alvira I want to talk to you "

Alvira was in a dilemma in that moment .She knew about what Asher wanted to talk about. She did want to talk to him but she didn't want him to talk about that night. After fighting with her own self she decided to give in and let destiny decide for her.

"Okay, we can talk, but not here please. We will get cold if we don't go inside right now. Go in and change and then you can join me in my room for a talk session " Alvira replied with a smile and with that she stood up and started walking inside towards her room.

After getting changed she was now dampening her hair with a towel when she heard the door bell. She opened the door to welcome Asher but to her dismay there was a room service guy standing there with food trolley.

"Ma'am your food "he said with a smile

"Who ordered food from my room?'' Alvira thought

She was about to refuse him when she heard Asher's voice

"I'll take it from here thank you." He took the trolley and then came inside her room.

"Why did you order food?" Alvira asked him while closing the door

Instead of replying her question he gently held her wrist and made her sit on the recliner. He then grabbed the plate from the trolley and handed it to Alvira.

"I know you haven't eaten anything since the breakfast. I saw you skipping your dinner too and I know when you think too much you usually forget that you need to fill that stomach as well. So without making any fuss just eat or else I will have to forcefully feed you." Asher said while making himself comfortable on the other side of the recliner.

"He cares for me "was the first thought that came in her mind. Alvira took the spoon and started eating, she indeed was hungry.

Asher observed her for few seconds and then finally spoke.

"You have changed Avi "

Alvira, who was busy eating, glanced at Asher and said

"But you haven't changed a bit Ashi"

Asher laughed on hearing "Ashi" from her once again.

"I was wrong you haven't changed, I take my words back "he stated with a smirk.

Asher suddenly remembered something .

"Avi I am sorry about whatever I said in the morning, I didn't mean it that way. It happened so suddenly, I was so lost in old days that I couldn't comprehend that you might get hurt once again" He had a serious expression on his face this time.

"You don't need to say sorry Asher; I know you were just teasing me, like you use to do always. It was just a pleasant shock for me and I didn't mind at all "Alvira said with a heartwarming smile.

Asher was admiring her with affection now. Suddenly he came forward and brought something out of his pocket. After a moment Alvira realized it was the same bracelet she was looking for everywhere.

Asher once again held her wrist gently and tied the bracelet.

"I found this in the hall a while ago. This is your favorite bracelet right?

Alvira nodded.

"He still remembers everything about me "Alvira's inner conscious interrupted again.

"Avi, we should talk about what happened that night. I mean... I need to talk to you ..." Asher stammered.

Alvira kept her plate aside. Asher was still holding her hand. Alvira placed her hand on Asher's hand to calm him down.

"Asher, I have no issues in discussing anything but don't you think it will only complicate things more right now? We are here to enjoy the wedding, so let's just enjoy it for now and we can sort out everything when we go back. Till then let's just be friends again "

Asher was awestruck by her maturity. This girl was still ready to accept him as her friend and she might forgive him in future too. He was indeed lucky to have her in his life. Asher was so proud of Alvira at that moment. He nodded his head with a smile and then stood up.

"I should go, it's quite late. You should also sleep now. Good night Avi "he then started walking towards the door and within few seconds he was gone.

That night they finally slept peacefully after a year.
