Chapter 7 * The Slap*

As the clock struck 10 am, Chaudhry shahab asked everyone to gather for the breakfast. Almost all the family was present on the table except for Alvira and Asher. Minahil face palmed herself and called Alvira immediately to save her from any embarrassment. She was lucky that Alvira received the call on the first few rings.

Alvira got fresh and before walking to the dining area she knocked on Asher's room to wake him as well.

After making sure that he is awake she left for breakfast. She greeted everyone on the table but before she could take her place she started sneezing badly.

"Bless you" Sameer said quickly.

Alvira continued sneezing for 2 minutes and Fariha Shahab was now worried for her. She quickly passed her the hot coffee cup. After taking 2 sips, Alvira was now finally better. Fariha took a sigh of relief but her contentment was not for longer, she again heard a sneezing sound. This time it was Asher who just joined the table. He was sneezing badly too. Fariha quickly passed him another hot coffee cup. All this happened too fast that no one got a chance to ask them the reason. After Asher's sneezing stopped Sameer, who was very curious finally asked.

"Why are you both sneezing and why is your nose red? What did you both do?" his tone was very scandalous.

Without realizing the consequences Asher and Alvira pointed towards each other.

"Because of him"

"Because of her "

This indeed came as a shock for everyone.

"Liar liar, it was you who wanted to enjoy the rain" Asher said dramatically.

"You came that's why I stayed in rain for so long "Alvira replied after slamming her hand on the table.

They were legit fighting like 2 year olds. Chaudary shahab interrupted immediately to stop the fight.

"Stop fighting you too" He said loudly. His loud voice was enough to bring their senses back.

"You two were drenching in rain, ALONE and that too at 3am midnight? " jibran's teasing tone made Asher and Alvira realize about the grave mistake they just committed.

Every member was now eyeing them doubtfully. Asher took a stand and finally spoke up to make sure Alvira doesn't get embarrassed.

"I'll tell you why we were drenched in rain and that too at 3am. Alvira lost her bracelet during the dholki and she came back to search for it ,while going back she saw that it was raining and being a crazy rain lover she went out to enjoy rain without realizing that it's not safe. I was standing in the window when I saw her enjoying the rain. It was already so cold outside plus we are in a foreign place so I thought of going down and call her back .That is how we got cold"

Asher's explanation was indeed genuine and everyone believed him. It was partially the truth too so Asher wasn't guilty at all. They were now seated once again and finally started their breakfast. Alvira and Asher were sitting opposite to each other. Alvira passed him a sweet smile as if she was thanking him for the help.

After the breakfast the girls along with their elders were now sitting in the hall once again. All the boys were in the ground playing cricket .The girls were arguing over the selection of movie for the night. It was movie night and the resort's cinema room was booked for the movie. The real issue now was to decide which movie will be displayed and they were all fighting over it. After 15 minutes Ebad came running to the room. He was out of breath.

"Uncle wo Asher ... "He tried to speak but he was breathing heavily.

"What happened to Asher? Is he fine?" before Chaudary Shahab could ask anything Alvira came running to Ebad.

"Speak up Ebad, what happened to Asher "Chaudary Shahab finally spoke.

"Uncle, Asher fell from a tree while saving a Kitten" Ebad could finally talk.

"OH GOD!! This boy never listens to me. He just wants to be a hero. Where is the Idiot now" Alvira said in anger.

"Resort's Medical care room" Before anyone could say anything else, Alvira rushed towards the Medical care room. She didn't care about anything at the moment. She hurriedly entered the room and chaudary shahab along with Amara, Zara, Minahil and his wife also followed her.

The doctor bandaged Asher's right arm and was now writing something. Sameer and jibran were standing beside the bed. Asher was shocked to see a messed up Alvira. She was in a foul mood but he could read tension and worry on her face for him as well.

"You are in trouble ASHER" he thought .

"Is he fine Doctor? Anything serious?" Chaudary shahab asked the doctor after shaking his hands.

"He is lucky that he ditched a fracture, though his bones are damaged. Nothing to worry about. They will recover soon if taken care properly. I have prescribed the medicines, please follow them and be careful young man "the doctor replied with a smile and then left.

After the doctor departed, Chaudary Shahab was about to go near Asher but out of nowhere they heard a SLAP. This trip was a bucket full of shocks for them and this slap was one of them too. The hand belonged to Alvira and the person on the receiving end was Asher.

Alvira slapped Asher. This was something beyond shocking now.
