Chapter 8 * Care*

Asher had a smile on his face after getting slapped by Alvira. No one in the room could comprehend what was happening at that moment. Alvira slapped Asher and he was smiling in return. The duo was surely mad, they thought.

"You idiot!!!You'll never learn from your mistakes. You know that your bones are weak and the doctor advised you to stay away from these kinds of stunts, but how will you survive without troubling others and getting sympathies from them? Of course you love getting attention since childhood, and to get that you won't even care about your health!!!!!!"
Alvira was bubbling with anger but there was worry evident in her eyes too. After removing her frustration, she was now quite.
"Alvira why did you slap her, my child. He's already injured and in pain"
Fariha asked Alvira in a doubtful tone But before Alvira could answer her, they all heard Asher's voice.

"Aunty don't blame her. She did the right thing.
2 years back, I had a fracture in my left arm. The doctor did all my tests and told me that my bones are very weak and any more injury in future might get me in trouble. He said if i don't take precautions and continue getting injuries then a time will come when my bones will stop healing them self. Mom and Alvira were very furious at that time. I made a promise to them that I will be careful from now on and if I ever get myself injured again then they can slap me.
She just did that. It was her right because I am guilty of breaking my promise"

Asher maintained an eye contact with Alvira while narrating the whole story. Not for once his gaze left Alvira.
Alvira was now fidgeting with her top. She was trying to control her pain. She could never see Asher in pain since childhood and Asher knew this very well.
The family was busy giving Asher some advises about how to take care of his arm. Alvira was standing in a corner quietly.
"Aunty, uncle you should go and attend your guests and plan for the wedding. I will take Asher to the room; he's much better now "Sameer was back after having a word with the doctor.

The family was back in the hall to complete the preparations. Alvira saw Sameer taking Asher to the room. She secretly left the hall and accompanied them. After getting into the room Sameer made Asher lie on the bed .without saying anything Alvira gave the medicines and a glass of water to Asher and meanwhile he took the medicines, she started adjusting his comforter.

"Asher, you'll fall asleep in a while due to the medicines. Keep your cell phone switched on and ring me if you need anything. I have to go help jibran right now. Take care of yourself ok? After saying this Sameer stormed out of the room. He wanted to leave them Alone. He knew that Asher won't need his help until Alvira is there.

"I am sorry for the Slap Asher. I got tensed and all of this happened so fast that I didn't think that you were already in pain." Alvira was now seated on the chair beside the bed. Guilt was evident on her face.

"Haq hai tmhe muje Marne ka Avi, jitna chahe mar lo, Mujrim Hun me tmhara "

(It's your right to slap me Avi, you can slap me as many times you want, I am your culprit)

A lone tear drooped from Alvira's eye after hearing this from him. She quickly removed that tear from her face and closed Asher's eyes forcefully with her palm and asked him to sleep. Asher slept after a while. Alvira remained seated on the chair for an hour and she didn't realized that she went into slumber too.

She opened her eyes after hearing the ringtone of her cell phone. She quickly answered the call so that Asher doesn't wake up from the noise.

"Alvira, where the hell are you? We are looking for you since so long" It was Zara speaking on the other end.

"I am so sorry love. I don't know how I slept out of nowhere."Alvira replied rubbing her eyes..

"Oh god Alvira, ok now get up , get ready and come down for the dinner" Zara was about to disconnect the call after giving the command but Alvira's voice interrupted her .

"Zara, can you do me a favor? Please send the food in Asher's room. How will he eat alone? I'll have dinner with him and then I will get ready for the movie "Suddenly she heard someone coughing in the background and she instantly knew that they were Amara and Minahil.

"What the hell Zara. The phone was on speaker. I will take your class later bitch, for now just send the food "She disconnected the call after saying this.

Asher was still asleep. Alvira was admiring him. Her hands involuntarily rose and were creasing Asher's hair now. There was pure love and affection in her eyes now. She could never hate this man, even after trying so hard she could not remove his love from her heart. After playing with his hair, Alvira's fingers were now creasing Asher's cheeks. She was trying to feel the softness of his cheeks. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realize that Asher might wake up any moment and her actions might get her in trouble. All she cared about in that moment was that she wanted to feel his presence in her life once again. She was admiring his features. His perfect Almond shape eyes, his lips that always carry a beautiful smile, his soft cheeks which were half covered with a rough beard now.

"You look hot in this beard" She mumbled in a barely audible voice.

She could admire this face for hours but at that moment she had to stop before He wakes up. She stood up from the chair and turned to go to the washroom to wash her face. The least she expected was someone to hold her wrist. Her breath was struck in her throat now. It was obviously Asher who held her wrist, which means he was awake all this while. Alvira could only curse herself mentally now. She was caught red handed.

"You are gone Alvira, he won't leave you so easily now "She mentally made a note. She couldn't escape this situation now under any circumstances. Her cheeks were all flushed up now.
