I was walking towards my first class of the semester, homeroom, which was led by the school's drama teacher and drama club director Ms. Darbus. My fingers played with the strands that hung from the bottom of my grey T-Shirt that was covered by my black bomber jacket. Twisting it to the left and to the right making it a little turned as I let it go. The moment that just happened replayed in my mind over and over again savoring it as if it was my greatest treasure.

I ran my fingers through from the top of my head stopping when it reached the tight bun that took me forever to do this morning. Making sure that no short strands of hair were sticking out from any angles. I took a deep sigh as I officially walked into my class for the semester.

My eyes looked around the classroom seeing the happy and sad mask faces hang in the front of the room behind Ms. Darbus' chair. I scanned to see the seat options and decided to take the one in the middle back. As I was walking I felt a pair of eyes follow me as I made every step. I all of suddenly became nervous thinking that someone was judging me. My hands started sweating a bit and my cheeks flushed, my head hanging low so I wouldn't have to face the person's burning gaze. I kept on walking hoping that the person would look away and concentrate on something else, but no. "Come on Felicity, grow a pair and check out the bozo that was looking at you." I sighed again agreeing with the voice in my head and looked at the set of eyes that was staring me down.

And for the second time today my green orbs met the same light blue orbs that I saw in the hallway. A smile grew on my face as if I was seeing an old friend again. His cheeks flushed, a tiny shy smile decorating his face. I regained the confidence I had when I walked into the room as I turned to fully face him instead of looking over my shoulder. As I reached my seat I sat down his gaze still not leaving me. I sent a wink making his cheeks burn with redder hair than the Weasleys. A smirk fell on my lips in triumph as if I won a battle.

The wink sent him to face back to the front of the room but he turned back around to gaze at another person. His eyes showing that him and the girl might actually be old friends. And in that instant the smirk left my face. I placed my hands together on the table keeping my eyes glued to it as if there was nothing else that mattered in the world.

Suddenly the rapid sound of a phone ringing fell across the classroom silencing all conversations. Sharpay and Ryan pulled out their phones checking to see if it was theirs' that was causing the commotion which obviously wasn't. But they still had it out, shifting it from hand to hand turning around to face each other a say quiet murmurs to each other such as, "It's not mine." Or "I don't know what happened."

The vibrations shook my thigh as I reached for my phone in my pocket pulling it out and flipping the top up to see who was calling. The phone read ***-***-**** which was oddly my phone number. I declined the call and inspected the phone which I soon realized wasn't mine. I looked around as Ms. Darbus had a bucket in her hand holding it out for the us to put our phones in

She went to the girl sitting next to me who I recognized as the other girl the he was staring at and a new girl. The girl reluctantly put her phone in the bucket making a clang noise as the metal from her phone hit the metal of the bucket. Ms. Darbus soon walked over to me holding the bucket out in front of me which I put the phone that I had in my hand into the bucket. She next walked to the boy that stared at me and the new girl and he put the phone in the bucket in shame as she talked about giving all of us detention and how the Drama Club would really appreciate it.

Right after Ms. Darbus gave all me, Sharpay, Ryan, the new girl(who I learned is now Gabriella), and the boy that was looking at us, Troy detention. Troy's best friend Chad tried to interfere, "That's not a possibility, Ms. Darbus, Your Honor, see, cause we have basketball practice, and Troy-" I rolled my eyes at his lame excuse. Apparently everything here is all just basketball. Ms. Darbus cut him off retorting with,"Ah, that will be 15 minutes for you Mr. Danforth. Count 'em." Next thing I hear is the smart girl Taylor McKessie start to speak to her friends, "That could be tough for Chad. He probably can't count that high." Her friends laugh at her joke and I have to admit I released a bit of a chuckle. Next thing I know Ms. Darbus gives another 15 minutes to someone and that someone happens to be Taylor. Great the detention club just keeps on getting bigger and bigger. Maybe we'll become the breakfast club. I think to myself sarcastically laughing a bit at my joke.

Finally class is over and I rush out the door no longer wanting to be there. As I leave the classroom the one and only Troy Bolton starts walking with me. "Hey," he says awkwardly walking next to me as I simply just ignore him.

This is going to be an awkward walk. I think to myself and boy was I right.
