Bye ma, I love you."
"Bye bye sweetie, love you too." I heard my mom's sweet and angelic voice through the phone as we finished our daily phone calls when her and my dad were on their trips. I took my phone away from my ear and pressed the red icon with a phone faced down to end the call.
I sat up on my bed meeting the light purple colored walls that were decorated with pictures of me and my family and my nonexistent friends. I swung my legs over my bed planting my feet to the ground. I walked down the stairs to the first floor out of our four too many more floors. "I'm going out for a ride." I yelled out to the house getting no response at all as usual.
I sighed and opened the door, the wind blowing into the house within seconds. I closed the door and walked over to where my bike was parked. It was nothing fancy, just a plain white bike that matched my white Jeep Wrangler. A present from my parents as a childhood memory since I had a child version of the Jeep.
I threw my leg over to the other side of the bike setting myself on the seat while positioning my feet on the pedals. I pushed my right foot creating a pattern with my feet as I made my way out of the neighborhood.
Having as much money as my parents meant creating your own mansion on a mountain that towered over the whole entire town. I rode my way down the hill turning to the left passing a streetlight on the corner that my parents only let me and my siblings go to when we drove in our kid cars. But of course me being me I went past it many many times.
I got to the neighborhood that I always envied, the neighborhood where all the kids were. The type of neighborhood that you were able to talk to your friends in the next house just by simply opening your window or doing that Taylor Swift stuff. I got off walking with the bike next to me, gazing at the houses that only had one light lit. Laughter and voices were heard from every house, just how any normal family would have it. But my family isn't normal. Parents gone on trips nearly most of the month, a house so huge it shouldn't even be legal.
"Felicity? Is that you?"
I stopped walking looking down at the floor, crap, is it too late to run? I heard footsteps from behind me get louder and louder. Yep, definitely too late. I lifted my head, turning around to look at the girl who the guy that I may be liking may be liking. "Gabriella, hey." I put my hand up in an awkward way trying to wave. She had a huge smile on her face which was way too happy.
"Hi." She put her hands in her back pockets of her jeans shifting from one foot to the other. Here goes another awkward conversation. That must be like five, what a score! "I didn't know that you lived in this area." She said breaking the silence in a questioning tone.
"No, I actually don't. I just come around here to walk." I responded earning a nod from her. "So how do you like it here?"
"It's good. All the students are since to me. Especially Troy. Have you ever heard of him?"
"Yeah, literally everyone has heard of Troy he's like Robert Pattinson around here." Yep that's right Robert Pattinson, he's got that cute hufflepuff thing going on.
"Yeah," she said with a smile on her face,"he's cute." She continued smiling, I raised my eyebrows at her. "Like Robert Pattinson." She added on trying her cover herself from that confession.
"So, you like Troy?"
"Well I-"
"No need to explain, I get it. All the girls drool over that guy." Yeah like you. Oh shut up.
"Yeah." She lightly put her head down shying away.
"Well good night Gabriella." I turned my bike to face the direction of my home.
"Night." She replied with a smile on her face that I returned.
I got on my bike making my way back home thinking about our conversation and how it left me.
It's official I don't like that Gabriella girl.
I think she's nice.
She is until her true colors shows and is just blah.
Come on, we're just in a conflict because we like Troy and she does too, so the immediate girl thing to do is hate the girl.
We don't like Troy.
Yes we do. Remember the jealousy when we saw them together? And how sad we were?
No don't recall and remember we were the most emotional in our family.
Whatever, just admit it that we like Troy. You're basically all the evidence.
No I'm not.
Yes, you don't like Gabriella because she likes Troy too, we got sad because we saw Troy with Gabriella, and we were so happy because we were with Troy that afternoon.
Well crap, we like Troy.
