I left the bathroom going to my locker getting the books for my next few classes. I put in the code opening the bage metal door seeing a pice of paper fly out. I picked it up from the ground, unfolding the once tree, seeing the words "meet me at the place - T" a smile instantly growing on my face.

I put it back in my locker closing the door making my way to the nearest stairs.

"I see you've turned this to your secret hideout. Kicking me out already?" I smiled at him as I got closer.

"No," he chuckled looking down,"thanks to the science club it's just so beautiful." He paused for a moment before continuing,"I like to be here because my buddies don't even know that it exists."

"Don't you have the school pretty much wired? It's like everyone on campus wants to be your friend."

"Unless we lose."

"I'm sure it must be tricky being the coach's son."

"Makes me practice a little bit harder. I guess." He bobbed his head, mine nodding along.

"I don't know what he'll say when he finds out about the singing."

"You worried?"

"My parents' are always saying, "Your son is the basketball guy. You must be so proud." He voice went from happy to sad at the end. A smile disappearing from his face. His eyes watering up at this. He turned to look at me and meet my eyes, turning away not wanting to seen this vulnerable. "Sometimes I don't wanna be the basketball guy. I just wanna be a guy. You know?"

"I saw the way you talked to Kelsi yesterday. Do your friends know that guy?"

"To them, I'm the playmaker dude."

"They don't know enough about you, Troy." I said sitting down on the bench. "Do you remember when at kindergarten, elementary, and middle school I was "Sharpay's and Ryan's untalented sister." Or "the other Evan." I told myself that I wasn't going to live in their shadow this year. I would make my own name. And it's cool coming here being anyone I wanna be. And when I'm with you feel like a girl." I sort of mocked him smiling cheekily.

"You even look like one, too." He turned to me a smile appearing on his face.

He walked over to me taking the seat on the bench. "You know what's weird? We never ever sand together yet, but we got the roles together."

"Well then guy, when are you gonna make your move?"

"How about after school, we take a room and we'll sing?"

"Sounds like a plan."

We looked at each other for a moment, and boy was i enjoying the view. "Even though we like only talked for like three days, I feel like I know you already. And you're like he closet thing I actually have to a friend." I told him.

"You know, with you I feel like I can actually be myself." He replied as we continued to smile at each other.

"So, you really wanna do the callbacks?"
