12 - Seonghwan pt.3

I am sitting here at the playground for about 3 hours. It's not in my neighbourhood, it was far from my place and that is why I choose to be here.

The atmosphere is warmy although it's kinda cold. I remember this place since I went here few times during  elementary school with him. He likes to play. He is so playful and cute. When we walk together before, people  always thought that I am his noona because he looks so babyish.

"Why are you here?"

I look up and see him.

He is the person that I want to see now.

I want him to comfort me.

And I was so relieved that he comes even I know.. he will ditch me over and over again.

I want him to stay longer so I decide to keep my mouth shut.

"Do you know Yejoo is crying and searching for you?"

"....."

"Your parents are looking for you too. Your dad had to delay his meeting because  of you."

"....."

"You aren't gonna answering me?"

"...."

Seonghwan kneels and pecks Seolmin's lips.

"What are you doing?"

"Answer me," Seonghwan looks at Seolmin straight in her eyes.

"Leave." Seolmin looks away.

Seonghwan goes silent for few seconds before sitting beside Seolmin.

"Do you still remember the time when I ran away from home because my mom scolded me?"

Seolmin stays quiet but has all her attention on Seonghwan.

"I ran away because she wants me to continue my vocal class when I hates singing,"

"But, it turned out that I have a talent in singing. I even got awards in competitions. That's where I know that our parents are the ones who know our potential the most and they think and care a lot about their childrens. But, we childrens think they are over possesive toward us."

"Do you get it, miss?" Seonghwan smiles.

Seolmin remains silent.

"Do you hate me?" She asks.

"What do you want my answer to be?" He replies.

"I know it.."

"Know what?"

"That my mom is the one who told you to avoid me."

Seolmin looked at a pair of shoes in front of her house. She knew it. It was Seonghwan's. Seolmin want to open the door but stopped as she heard voices.

"Seonghwan-ah, I want you to do a favour to me."

"What is it, aunty?"

"I want you to stay away from my Seolmin."

"What.. are you... saying, aunty? Why should I do that?"

"As you can see, Seolmin has to go to Ivy University. So, she has to graduate well for her middle school to go to good high school. I don't want she lose her focus and interest on her study. When she is with you, I can see she lost her interest on everything and only focusing  on you."
