*Ali's POV*

I open the door to the recording room gently after Mitch leaves. "Jordan." I say. He looks up, clearing his throat. "I heard all of it. Just so you know." He says. I glance down. "Um, can you come out here?" I say, slightly irritated. He sighs, glancing at Percy, who stares out the window again. It's beginning to be quite a habit of his. He then stands, a bit reluctantly. If he heard, he knows exactly what I need to get out.

He follows be quietly, and I stop by the kitchen counter, so that Percy is out of earshot. At least, close to. "You lied to me?" I ask, trying to keep my voice down, for the time being. The least yelling possible. But I'm mad. He glances down "Well, not exactly." I raise an eyebrow "What do you mean, not exactly?! You either lied to me or you didn't." He presses his lips together. "I overheard Mitch talking to you once. About Jerome... And I just thought..." I sigh, trying not to be angry with him. Because it's hard to be when he acts like this. "Thought what? You must have heard enough to know they weren't together." He shrugs, avoiding eye contact. "Oh knock it off Jordan! I don't want to deal with your guilt trip right now!" I say, getting annoyed. His head snaps up. "So that's how you want to do this then? I was just trying to keep it civil." I roll my eyes "It's already far past civil. If we need to have it out, then we'd best do it full force." He blinks. "Alright then. Maybe I wanted you to myself! Maybe I was just jealous! Maybe, just maybe, I wanted you too much to even risk him stealing you!" I stare at him for a moment. More like glaring, actually. "All I want is the truth! It's not like I plan on running off to Mitch or anything! I'd already picked you! You could have at least told me!" Jordan runs a hand through his hair "I did! He said he liked Jerome! All I did was elaborate on that a bit!" I scoff "Oh yeah, a bit." He sighs "Well how would it have changed anything anyways!? If you aren't interested in Mitch, why is this such a big problem?" his voice is at the yelling point by now. So is mine. "That isn't the problem! I'm only upset because you lied to me! What kind of a person do you think I am?!" I yell, my eyes wide in anger and sadness. He looks at me for a moment. "I think you're the type of person who is too perfect to risk losing." He says, lowering his voice. I take a deep breath. His words strike some sense and saneness back into me. "Jordan, I am yours. I am only yours. Please remember that." I say, looking into his eyes. He suddenly steps forward, kissing me. My mind is wiped blank for a moment, all thoughts burned away by the hot fire he sends racing through my head. I am painfully aware of his hands on my waist, sending tingles across my skin. I can't help but respond to him. But he pushes me back gently, still holding me close to him. I close my eyes, slightly disappointed. "There's a 9 year old in the other room." He whispers in my ear. I smile a bit, leaning my head on his chest. "We'd better go talk to him too." I say softly. He laughs quietly. "I feel like we're playing Survivor or something. Everyone talking privately in small bursts." I grin. "Indeed we are."

"Hey Perc." I say as we both enter the recording room again. He still stares out the window, a blank expression on his face. I think he's as traumatized as me. Just does a better job of hiding it. Jordan sits in his chair, and I gently sit by Percy, pressing my palms to my knees. He glances at me briefly "Everyone's always yelling." He mumbles, and it almost breaks my heart. "I'm so sorry buddy. I wish it wasn't that way." "I wish Mom and Dad were here." He retaliates quickly. I look down, accepting the sting. I'm not doing a good job of taking care of him. That's apparent to anyone. It's only been a day, and I've already majorly screwed up. I glance at Jordan, whose face is dark. I press my lips together. "Look, bud, we need to talk about this morning. You can't let strangers into the condo." I say, changing the subject. He glances at me "But that guy wasn't a stranger. You knew him." I sigh "Yes, but you didn't. What if he had lied? What if he didn't know me, and tried to hurt you?" Percy's face darkens slightly. Jordan continues for me "Not everyone is as nice as Mitch."

I try not to giggle at that particular phrase coming from Jordan. He shoots me a look, so I take a deep breath and regain control. "So you can't open the door without asking one of us first, ok?" I say, genuinely worried. He sighs "Fine." I raise an eyebrow "Look at me Percy." He does, however reluctantly. "I don't want you to get hurt, alright?" I say, and he nods. I glance at Jordan, who sighs "Well, we did have shopping to do, right?" Percy smiles and I nod. Joy.
