A/N: Lol so no one guessed it!! Just read to find out:)
We reach the field in a matter of minutes, laughing and joking the entire way there. But by the time we get out of the car, someone else is standing in the parking lot. I raise an eyebrow, and Mitch curses under his breath. "Oh..." Ryan mumbles. Percy stands at the edge of the field, looking slightly confused. I would be too. Jordan is here. And he's not happy.
He stares at us as we get out of the car, obviously upset. I glance at Mitch, who whispers "Just remember that you have a life of your own." I nod firmly. Jordan has no right to be mad at me for having a little fun. Now, on the subject of Percy....that does deserve a bit of anger. But I'm already inflicting it on myself. Jordan's seen everyone by now, including Ryan. His forehead wrinkles, and he crosses his arms, jaw tense. Percy walks towards us slowly, as if sensing the boiling anger in the crowd. Jerome stands by Mitch, silent. Ryan ducks his head, almost as if embarrassed. It makes sense that he would be. He betrayed his best friend. He should look away. Jordan stares at him bitterly for a moment, and then turns his glare to me, an expression I've never had directed towards me. It's slightly scary, and it makes me mad. "Forgetting something?" he asks sarcastically as he steps slightly closer. I don't think I've ever seen him quite this angry with me. I frown, placing my hands on my hips. "I'm here, aren't I?" I say, a warning in my voice. I don't want to do this right now, but if I have to, I will. He glances at Percy, still hovering awkwardly in the middle. "Get in the car Percy." He says in a demanding but slightly gentler tone. He does, quietly walking into the backseat. I feel bad that he always has to see all of this. But he'll know how life works, that's for sure. As soon as the door shut, Jordan steps closer, fuming. "Really? Would you have been? He called me too Ali. Scared out of his mind that you weren't coming!" My eyes flare "I was just having a little fun! I picked up the phone when he called and came right away! I just forgot!" He mutters "Maybe having too much fun." under his breath. I look at him incredulously. "Yeah, actually, I was having a lot of fun for once!" He blinks "But ask yourself, should fun come before the safety of your little brother?!" I ball up my fists in anger "Look, I'm sorry, ok?! I'm not your child! I'm allowed to go out when I want without you scolding me for it!" I yell, face hot. He runs his hands through his hair. "It is not the fact that you went out! It's how you went about it and with whom you did it that bothers me!" I raise an eyebrow "What's that supposed to mean?" Ryan says from behind me. I'm glad he at least stands up for himself. "Don't even start Ryan. I have absolutely nothing to say to you." Jordan says, voice deadly quiet. "I'm guessing you know then." Jerome says. "Oh yeah, I know. From the internet. Because no one had the guts to tell me themselves." He says, staring Ryan down, who looks away, acknowledging what he did for what might be the first time. "Can we just go home? I don't want to do this here." I whisper, fed up. Jordan sighs "Does it really make a difference, Ali? I'm not sure Percy should be going anywhere with you!" He spits out the last word. I step back, as if I've been physically hit. That was low. That was low and mean, and- I stop myself. He's right, though. I've been telling myself this all along. He just never admitted I was right until now. I blink, tears stinging my eyes. His face softens almost immediately "Ali, I-" I shake my head. "No. Just don't. Maybe I'll just go then." I get out angrily, my voice shaking with frustration. "Ali." He says again, stepping forward. I step back again, keeping him away. "I know how you feel now. So don't even try to tell me you didn't mean it." I say, a tear rolling down my face. I've always known I was a failure. This just proves it. I turn and walk away, not caring that it's a windy March day. "Ali, you can't just-" Mitch mumbles as I walk past. I cut him off "Yeah, yeah I can." I say, without looking back. This is partially his fault to. For talking me in to all of this. He's just as controlling as Jordan can be. I hear footsteps and hushed words behind me. I don't care if they think I'm crazy. I don't want to talk to them. "Ali!" I hear Jordan yell, which only makes me walk faster. I clench my fists at the sound of his voice, which only hurts right now. I hear him running up behind me, and as soon as he touches my shoulder, I find myself whirling around, my fist connecting with his nose. He stumbles backwards, clutching his face. I catch a "Oh!" and a "Nice one!" from the guys back at the car. He gradually looks up at me, pinching his nose. "Ok, I deserved that one."
A/N: PLOT TWIST!! Haha no worries, Jali is still safe, but that was fun. Slap dat vote button for Ali's epic punch, and drop a comment if you were surprised!
