*Ali's POV*

I wake up to the bright sunlight in the window, as I usually do. I've always hated alarm clocks. And I always wake up to light. So this particular setup is perfect for me. No sooner than I've blinked, a soft knock comes on the door. "Ali?" Percy's voice says through it quietly. I sigh, stretching slightly. I slip out of Jordan's arms carefully, and walk to the door. "What's up bud?" I say, voice still quiet and a little rocky from sleep. He looks up at me for a second "Can I go over to Michael's today?" he says, keeping his voice low, for the sake of Jordan. I know it won't really matter. Jordan wakes up almost exactly when I do. He's probably just listening to us now, pretending to sleep. Michael is Percy's friend from soccer. Honestly, I'm glad he's not turning out to be an introverted freak like me. I smile, feeling generous, and also like I want him out of the house for a bit. "Sure. For how long?" "I was hoping I could spend the night. He just got this new video game..." he rambles for a moment about the awesome new game, and I just wait, mind drifting. When he finally stops, I nod. "Get packed, I'll take you over." I say. He shrugs "Actually, his mom is going to pick me up." I raise an eyebrow "Oh? So this decision was already made?" He turns red, realizing his mistake. "No." he says quickly, and runs down the hallway back to his room. I laugh, not having the heart to really scold him.

I feel Jordan step up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I smile warmly as he leans his head on my shoulder. It still gives me butterflies when he does things like this. "Told you he loves you." He says quietly into my ear. I tilt my head slightly "When I'm giving him what he wants. So don't be too sure." He smiles "Oh but I am sure." He chuckles and spins me around to face him. I blush a bit, but my heart feels warmer than my face. "I want to spend the whole day with you. Alone." He says, face bright and insistent. My heart flutters a bit at the thought. I smile "Sounds fantastic." I say, standing on my tiptoes to kiss him lightly on the cheek. The height difference is much greater when we're standing. He grins and pulls me close to him, leaning his forehead against mine like we often do. I close my eyes for a moment. As much as I enjoy it, I can't help but feel like he's saying goodbye. Even if it's not on purpose, he's preparing for something bad to happen. Then again, so am I.

Percy leaves about half an hour later, a grin on his face. It's such a relief that he's finally settling in. It's also a relief that he doesn't seem to hate me anymore. I stare at the door for a moment after he leaves, a tugging bit of worry on my mind. It's harder than I thought to let him go for a day. Something could happen- I stop myself in my thoughts. Today is about Jordan and I. I don't know how many days we have left. So I should enjoy it. My mind will be free of Percy for today.

Jordan grabs my hand from behind, pulling me into the living room. "Do you want some breakfast?" he asks, eyebrows raised and smiling. I grin, looking at him comically "You know that there's no better way to charm me than bacon." He laughs. "Bacon it is!" he exclaims, jumping into the kitchen. He pulls out hardly used pots and pans, and I lean on the counter, smiling. "Do you even know how to cook?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. He shrugs "I guess we're about to find out."

30 minutes and 2 smoke alarms later, I think we've found out. I stare at the smoking mess of what was supposed to be breakfast in the sink, smirking a bit. He sighs "Well, I'm not cleaning that right now." I nod, pulling my mouth to the side. "It's the thought that counts." He grins, chuckling. "Tell me that in an hour when you're craving bacon." I roll my eyes, smiling. "Seriously though, you've lived on your own for how long now?" He shrugs "About 3 years?" I try not to laugh, pressing my lips together "And you still don't know how to make your own food?" He holds up a hand "I can make cereal." I grin "Prove it." I say teasingly. He crosses his arms, grinning "Fine. Cereal it is!"

We end up sprawled out on the couch Netflix binging Doctor Who. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better date. I'm really not the fancy dinner type. This is perfect. All of the stress and the bad things seem to fade when I'm with him. The day passes easily, like time is nothing to us.
