On Sunday morning I organised my books and set off towards Younghyun's house. I knocked on the big front door and was greeted by an incredibly tired looking Younghyun. God he looked good. He was wearing a grey shirt and baggy shorts, his hair was a mess. "Yah! I just woke up don't look at me!" He laughed and then welcomed me in.
He led me into the huge sitting room, the whole house was surprisingly clean even though the party had taken place here less than two days ago. "Would you like something to drink or eat?" He asked. "A glass of water might actually be nice," I replied and followed him into the kitchen. I leaned against the counter as he prepared two glasses. Suddenly without warning he stepped close to me, "What are you doing!" I was taken aback. To my surprise Younghyun burst into a fit of laughter, "Wow you're really on edge! Relax a bit, I'm not that intimidating am I? I was just getting a straw." I turned and saw a jar of straws sat on the counter behind me. I felt my cheeks warm as I blushed. "ah well you could have asked me to move or.." I trailed off. "I thought we'd study upstairs, all my books and stuff are in my room, but I mean if you're that uneasy around me maybe we shouldn't," he teased me. I shrugged and tried to pretend I didn't care.
Honestly I wanted to see his room, what does the boy who gets whatever he wants display in his room, what will it look like? I was undeniably curious.
We decided to head up the huge staircase and I followed him into his room. I was surprised to find it was a lot more bare then I expected. The walls were white with only a few posters of various musicians and bands to decorate. There was a desk, a chair, a rack of clothes, some drawers and a large double bed with black and grey covers. The bass guitar leaning against the wall to my right caught my attention, I walked straight over to it.
"That's so cool! Will you play for me?" Younghyun chuckled shyly, "ah we're here to study not play music, maybe later." With that he offered me a seat and we got down to business, I was surprised at how much he cared about doing well. He really worked and tried to do as much as he could. Finally, around lunchtime we decided to call it a day. We decided we'd work Monday and Tuesday and try get the whole project finished by Wednesday.
"I can't let you go without offering you lunch," Younghyun said. I had honestly been so busy I hadn't noticed how hungry I was. "You cook?" I asked. He laughed, "No but I know a great pizza place about 5 minutes away."
I decided I couldn't say no and we waited for our pizza to be delivered, Younghyun insisted he pay for it of course. I was enjoying my pizza sitting with him on the living room floor when I caught him staring at me. "You know it makes me really uncomfortable when you do that right?" He cocked his head slightly to the left, "ah but you're so pretty I can't help it , anyway I think you don't actually mind that much." I didn't want to argue with him so instead I rolled my eyes and shook my head and continued eating. " You're coming to the concert on Friday right?" I nodded in reply. "Great, I promise you'll like me by then, you'll kiss me that Friday night." I stared at him in shock, "Are you serious? Could you not just accept that I don't want to go out with you?" He squinted his eyes slightly, "See I would accept it, except I know you like me so I can't."
"See this is why I can't like you! You... You," but I couldn't say what I wanted to, I couldn't get Angry, Jimin was right Younghyun could be annoying but he could be nice too and I didn't want to hurt him, not really. " ah well good luck with that , you'll need it," I replied instead.
We sat there on the floor for a good hour chatting until I decided it was time to go. When he was walking me to the door I remembered, "Ah you said you'd play the bass for me!" It was clearly too late now but I had really wanted to hear it. "Next time, I promise," Younghyun smirked.
